• Homers in matinee game
Cameron went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a 6-2 loss to the Twins in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: The homer was Cameron's first since his season debut May 23. He went 0-for-3 in the nightcap, but it's encouraging to see the outfielder maintain decent playing time. He hasn't done a lot with it, slashing .182/.234/.341 with two homers, five RBI, five runs scored and a 3:10 BB:K over 47 plate appearances this season. Cameron should continue to be an option in the corner outfield spots, though it wouldn't be a surprise for him to settle into a short-side platoon role if he can't find consistency at the plate. • Homers in nightcap
Larnach went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in an 8-7 win over the Athletics in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: Larnach sat out the day game against opposing lefty JP Sears, but he was able to make an impact in the nightcap by homering off right-hander Joey Estes. This was Larnach's first homer since June 2, and he had just one extra-base hit, a double, in the 10 contests in between long balls. He's up to a .261/.318/.440 slash line with seven homers, 22 RBI, 19 runs scored and one stolen base over 41 contests. Larnach should continue to play in a strong-side platoon role between designated hitter and the corner outfield spots. Rotowire.com Today, 8:59 pm

  • Resumes running, fielding
Bouchard (ankle) has been cleared to run from home plate to first base at half speed in recent days in addition to participating in fielding drills, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Bouchard is expected to take part in more running drills Monday, and the Rockies could be ready to have him head out on a minor-league rehab assignment shortly thereafter. The 28-year-old shouldn't be in line for an extended stay on the 10-day injured list, but he may not have a regular role waiting for him with the big club once activated. Bouchard had been serving as the Rockies' primary left fielder prior to landing on the shelf, but Nolan Jones has since returned from the IL and has reclaimed that role. Rotowire.com Today, 8:19 pm

  • Ready for live at-bats
Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Sunday that Edman (wrist) is expected to report to the rookie-level Florida Complex League or Single-A Palm Beach this week to take some at-bats and get in some defensive reps, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Mamol didn't explicitly say that Edman will begin a formal rehab assignment, so the 29-year-old may just be participating in simulated games this week at the Cardinals' spring facility in Florida. In any case, the activity marks another important step in the recovery process for Edman, who has been out all season while he ramps back up from October wrist surgery. Edman won a Gold Glove at second base in 2021 and logged 46 starts at shortstop in 2023, but the outfield might represent his clearest path to consistent playing time once he returns from the 60-day injured list. • Plates three, swipes bag
McCarthy went 1-for-3 with three RBI and a stolen base during Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox.

Advice: McCarthy was productive despite only generating one hit. He stole second after walking in the first inning, scored Joc Pederson on a fielder's choice in the third frame and plated Pederson again in the fourth on a sacrifice fly before hitting an RBI triple in the sixth. McCarthy's pilfer was his 10th of the campaign, but his fifth of June. He's slashing .279/.365/.409 through 180 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 7:21 pm

  • Brings home three runs
Wisely went 2-for-6 with two doubles, three RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Angels.

Advice: Wisely doubled in the third inning before knocking a two-run double during the Giants' nine-run fourth. He's produced three multi-hit performances over his last five games and four over his last nine appearances. During that nine-game stretch, he's gone 9-for-31 (.290) with five extra-base hits. Wisely is now slashing .313/.329/.478 through 70 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:33 pm

  • Jake McCarthy has three RBI, swipe in win on Sunday
Jake McCarthy had a nice day at the dish in Sunday’s lopsided victory over the White Sox, going 1-for-2 with a walk, three RBI and a stolen base.

Advice: McCarthy walked in the opening inning and swiped second base, but the Diamondbacks couldn’t cash him in. He then plated a run in the third inning with a fielder’s choice that extended the Diamondbacks’ early lead to 4-1. He tacked on a sacrifice fly in the fourth that made it 8-1 and then smacked a run-scoring triple in the sixth inning that gave the Diamondbacks a 10-run lead. On the season, the 26-year-old outfielder is now hitting .279/.365/.409 with three homers, 18 RBI and 10 stolen bases. Rotoworld Today, 5:21 pm

  • Brett Wisely doubles twice, drives in three
Brett Wisely doubled twice and knocked in three runs from the leadoff spot Sunday versus the Angels.

Advice: Wisely has been one of the Giants’ best players when in the lineup, though oddly enough, he’s been much more successful in very limited action in lefty-lefty matchups (1.501 OPS in 16 PA) than versus righties (.592 OPS in 53 PA). Of course, he’s only really playing against righties. His .807 OPS overall demands that he remain in the lineup most of the time for now, whether it’s at the expense of Nick Ahmed or Thairo Estrada. • Andy Ibanez smacks RBI double in loss to Astros
Andy Ibanez smacked a pinch-hit RBI double in the ninth inning on Sunday, accounting for the Tigers’ lone run in a loss to the Astros.

Advice: Ibanez did what he does best — mash left-handed pitching — crushing an RBI double off of Josh Hader that plated Mark Canha from first base with the Tigers’ first run in the ballgame. On the season, the 31-year-old infielder is now slashing .274/.304/.400 with a pair of homers, 16 RBI and a stolen base in 102 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 4:48 pm
