    • Dominates Rays
Houck (4-5) yielded two hits and a walk over seven shutout frames Monday, striking out five and earning a win over Tampa Bay.

Advice: Houck was terrific Monday and didn't let any baserunners reach scoring position. It was his fourth scoreless start of the year, dropping his season ERA to 1.94 through 65 frames. Houck entered Monday's start on a four-game losing streak over his previous five starts. However, he registered an impressive 2.87 ERA during that span. Houck's next start is projected to be at home against the Brewers this weekend. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago

    • Tanner Houck spins seven scoreless to beat Rays
Tanner Houck fired seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the Rays.

Advice: Houck authored another brilliant performance, scattering just two hits and one walk over seven nearly-flawless frames. He finished with five strikeouts and allowed just six batted balls with an exit velocity over 92 mph in this one. He’ll carry a sparkling 1.94 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 62/12 K/BB ratio across 65 innings (10 starts) into a home tilt on Sunday against the Brewers. The 27-year-old righty has been an unexpected revelation this season for fantasy managers, allowing three earned runs or fewer in nine of his 10 starts so far. Rotoworld 37 minutes ago

    • David Fry drives in two, steals base in win
David Fry delivered a two-run single and also stole a base on Monday, leading the Guardians to a 3-1 victory over the Mets.

Advice: Fry kicked off the scoring with a two-run single off Mets starter Tylor Megill in the opening frame. He also walked and stole a base -- his third theft of the season -- in the fourth inning as well. The unheralded 28-year-old is off to a strong start this year, batting .329 (26-for-79) with four homers, 16 RBI and three steals in 32 contests. Rotoworld Today, 6:03 pm

    • Emmanuel Clase lowers ERA to 0.37 on Monday
Emmanuel Clase tossed a perfect ninth inning on Monday against the Mets to record his league-leading 14th save of the season.

Advice: Clase was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the final frame and needed just 12 pitches (seven strikes) to end the contest. The 26-year-old elite stopper has converted a major league-leading 14 of 17 save opportunities to go along with a microscopic 0.37 ERA, 0.58 WHIP and 24/2 K/BB ratio across 24 1/3 innings (25 appearances). He hasn’t allowed an earned run since April 14. Rotoworld Today, 6:03 pm
    • Won't be activated Monday
Astros manager Joe Espada said that McCormick (hamstring) will not be activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Monday's game versus the Angels, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: However, McCormick is with the Astros at Minute Maid Park and will go through a pregame workout. His activation will come "soon," per Espada, with Tuesday seeming like a distinct possibility. McCormick has been out for all of May with a right hamstring injury. Rotowire.com Today, 2:20 pm

    • Walks off Twins
Brennan went 1-for-4 with a three-run walk-off home run in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: Brennan played the hero Sunday, taking Jhoan Duran deep in the bottom of the ninth inning after the Twins tied the game a half-inning earlier. The homer was Brennan's first since May 1. The outfielder is hitting .254 (15-for-59) in May with four extra-base hits over 18 contests, though that's an improvement from earlier in the campaign. Brennan is slashing .231/.283/.396 with five homers, 18 RBI, 16 runs scored and two stolen bases over 145 plate appearances while seeing a majority of the playing time in right field. • Belts two-run shot
Gimenez went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's win over Minnesota.

Advice: Gimenez went deep for a two-run blast in the first inning. He's hit three home runs over his last 18 games after beginning the year in a 26-game drought. Gimenez has gone 12-for-24 over his last six games, boosting his slash line to .277/.337/.387 with 12 extra-base hits and seven steals. He's hitting .300 with a .795 OPS and a 6:8 BB:K over his last 20 appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 7:19 am
    • Wins after blown save
Clase (3-1) allowed an unearned run and struck out one batter in one inning of work Sunday against the Twins. He was charged with a blown save but earned the win.

Advice: Clase gave up the game-tying run on an error in the ninth inning, but Cleveland walked it off in the bottom half of the frame. It was his first blown save since April 16, and he's now 13 for 16 in save chances this season. He's fired 16.1 straight innings without allowing an earned run, dropping his season ERA to 0.39 with a 24:2 K:BB. Rotowire.com Today, 7:03 am
    • Nearing game action
Robert (hip) is still awaiting his first action at the team's complex in Glendale, Ariz., Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. "We anticipate some game action later this week,'' general manager Chris Getz said. "He seems to have turned the corner and is trending well."

Advice: There was some hope that Robert would get into games in Arizona last week, but the White Sox decided not to push it. Robert missed more than three months with a similar injury in 2021, so it makes sense that the organization would take a cautious approach. While he remains without a definitive timetable to return to the majors, Robert seems to be progressing well, though at a deliberate pace. Rotowire.com Today, 5:35 am
