Marte went 2-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's extra-innings win over the Phillies.

Advice: It's the fourth multi-hit performance for Marte in May, but he has just four total hits in his other 10 contests on the month. The veteran outfielder is a perfect 8-for-8 on the season in steal attempts though, keeping his fantasy value afloat despite a lackluster .259/.305/.370 slash line that comes with four homers, 15 RBI and 21 runs in 35 games. • Notches three extra-base hits
Duran went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a solo home run and an additional run scored during Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Rays.

Advice: Duran provided plenty of pop from the leadoff position Thursday, swatting his second homer of 2024 and generating two doubles for a second straight game. The contest was Duran's fourth game with at least three hits this season. The center fielder will finish the four-game series against Tampa Bay 6-for-15 (.400) with three runs scored and five extra-base hits. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:10 pm

    • Diaz blows back-to-back saves
Edwin Diaz blew another save against the Phillies on Thursday.

Advice: Three days after blowing his second save of the season, Diaz blew another save opportunity against the Phillies. Pitching with a one-run lead, Diaz walked Brandon Marsh to start the ninth inning. Marsh advanced on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Bryson Stott. All three of Diaz’ blown saves have come in the month of May. Once an elite closer, Diaz is showing the rust of someone who missed an entire season with a knee injury.

    • Another blown save
Diaz blew the save Thursday against Philadelphia, allowing one run on one hit and one walk with two strikeouts over one inning.

Advice: Diaz inherited a one-run lead for the bottom of the ninth but didn't convert his sixth save of 2024. Instead, Diaz walked Brandon Marsh and then allowed Marsh to reach second on a wild pitch before Bryson Stott hit an RBI single to send the game into extras. Diaz has blown three of his last four save chances and has allowed six runs over his last eight innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:28 pm

    • Twirls eight scoreless
Schmidt (5-1) earned the win Thursday against Minnesota, allowing three hits and no walks during eight scoreless innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Schmidt hasn't allowed a run in 15.2 consecutive innings, dating back to his May 4 start against Detroit. The 28-year-old was utterly dominant Thursday, setting a season high in punchouts while tying his season low in hits allowed. Schmidt's well on his way to a career year -- owning a 2.49 ERA in 50.2 innings -- as a back-end starter in one of baseball's best rotations. He'll look to extend his scoreless inning streak in a projected start Tuesday against Seattle. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:46 pm
    • Out of lineup again Thursday
DeLuca is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in Boston.

Advice: It marks the third time in four games that DeLuca will be on the bench. This is after he had started the previous nine contests in a row. The recent returns of Josh Lowe and Jonathan Aranda have impacted DeLuca's playing time, and the Rays also could be re-committing to Jose Siri in handing him five starts across the last six tilts. • Bryce Harper in Phillies lineup on Thursday
Bryce Harper is at first base and batting third on Thursday against the Mets.

Advice: Harper was back in Philadelphia’s lineup on Wednesday following a one-game absence due to a migraine. It doesn’t sound like a concern at all moving forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:36 pm

    • Clarke Schmidt fires eight-inning gem vs. Twins
Clarke Schmidt matched a career-high with eight strikeouts over eight scoreless innings on Thursday in a win over the Twins.

Advice: Schmidt authored the strongest start of his career during Thursday afternoon’s matinee at Target Field, completing seven innings for the first time in his career, while also scattering three hits and needing just 103 pitches (69 strikes) to navigate eight nearly-flawless frames. He generated 16 swinging strikes, including 10 on his cutter alone, finishing with a robust 34 percent CSW. The 28-year-old righty has been a revelation this season for fantasy managers as a late-round steal in deeper mixed leagues. He’ll carry a sparkling 2.49 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 55/15 K/BB ratio across 50 2/3 innings (nine starts) into a home outing on Tuesday against the Mariners. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:30 pm
    • Tyler O’Neill not in the Red Sox lineup on Thursday
Tyler O’Neill is not in the lineup on Thursday as the Red Sox take on the Rays.

Advice: After getting off to a torrid start, O’Neill has struggled of late. Since his collision with Rafael Devers in the outfield on April 15th which landed O’Neill on the concussion IL, the outfielder has hit just .219 with three home runs and a 41.5 percent strikeout rate. He was hitting .313 with seven home runs and a 21 percent strikeout rate prior. While the early season sample size is small, it’s worth noting that concussion symptoms can linger, as we saw with Anthony Rizzo last year. Perhaps it’s just a cold stretch, but maybe O’Neill is still feeling some effects of the head injury. Rob Refsnyder will be in left field and hitting third on Thursday while Garrett Cooper will DH and bat sixth. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:37 am
