      Advice: The homer was Cameron's first since his season debut May 23. He went 0-for-3 in the nightcap, but it's encouraging to see the outfielder maintain decent playing time. He hasn't done a lot with it, slashing .182/.234/.341 with two homers, five RBI, five runs scored and a 3:10 BB:K over 47 plate appearances this season. Cameron should continue to be an option in the corner outfield spots, though it wouldn't be a surprise for him to settle into a short-side platoon role if he can't find consistency at the plate.       Sears (4-6) allowed four runs on nine hits and four walks while striking out one over 4.1 innings to take the loss versus the Twins in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

      Advice: Sears had gone five starts without giving up a home run, but his good fortune ended with Carlos Correa taking him deep twice and Royce Lewis adding another homer in this start. This was the fourth time in Sears' last eight starts that he's given up four runs. He's now at a 4.25 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 55:28 K:BB through 82.2 innings over 15 outings this season.       Larnach went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in an 8-7 win over the Athletics in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader.

      Advice: Larnach sat out the day game against opposing lefty JP Sears, but he was able to make an impact in the nightcap by homering off right-hander Joey Estes. This was Larnach's first homer since June 2, and he had just one extra-base hit, a double, in the 10 contests in between long balls. He's up to a .261/.318/.440 slash line with seven homers, 22 RBI, 19 runs scored and one stolen base over 41 contests.       Jax allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in an 8-7 win over the Athletics in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader.

      Advice: Jax hadn't logged a save since May 10, but he received the opportunity to do so Sunday after Jhoan Duran closed out the matinee game. While the two relievers initially shared closing duties early in May, Duran has been the Twins' main closer for about a month while Jax has settled into a setup role.       Singer (4-4) took the loss Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out four.

      Advice: All three runs charged to Singer came via home run, with Shohei Ohtani slugging a solo shot in the third inning and going back-to-back with Freddie Freeman in the sixth inning. Sunday's start was Singer's first allowing multiple home runs and was his second time in seven appearances completing six innings.       Advice: Ober had his start pushed back a day after a rainout Saturday. This was his first quality start since May 12 and the first time he's completed six innings in that span. The right-hander has had a mediocre season so far with a 4.81 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 73:20 K:BB over 73 innings through 14 starts.       Griffin Jax picked up his sixth save of the season on Sunday night, working a scoreless ninth inning against the Athletics to preserve a one-run advantage.

      Advice: The 29-year-old right-hander got the call after Jhoan Duran closed out the first game of the doubleheader earlier in the afternoon. He did allow a one-out single to JJ Bleday that put the tying run on base, but battled back to get Miguel Andujar on a fly ball to center field and Tyler Soderstrom on strikes to end it. Jax has been a key cog in the Twins’ bullpen this season, posting a 2.30 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and a 43/8 K/BB ratio (31 1/3 innings) while recording six saves and three victories.       Tyler Soderstrom clubbed his fifth home run of the season on Sunday night as the Athletics dropped the nightcap of their doubleheader against the Twins.

      Advice: Soderstrom’s 421-foot (105.9 mph EV) solo shot off of Chris Paddack tied the game at 5-5 in the third inning and chased the Twins’ right-hander from the ballgame. The 22-year-old slugger added an RBI single in the seventh inning, finishing the night 3-for-4. He has been a pleasant surprise in the middle of the A’s lineup this season, slashing .250/.357/.464 with five long balls and 13 RBI in his first 98 plate appearances.     • Joey Estes hit hard in no-decision on Sunday
      Joey Estes was hit hard in a no-decision against the Twins on Sunday night, surrendering six runs on eight hits in only 2 2/3 innings of work.

      Advice: It’s really a testament to the A’s offense that Estes wound up with a no-decision here instead of a loss. The 22-year-old hurler punched out two batters on the evening while allowing one base on balls. Most of the damage done against him came via the long ball, as Royce Lewis crushed a two-run homer in the first inning and Trevor Larnach added a three-run shot in the second. Estes got five whiffs on 65 pitches in the ballgame, posting a minuscule CSW of only 18 percent.
