    • Giants get Michael Conforto back from injured list
Giants activated OF Michael Corforto from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Blake Snell went on the IL, allowing the Giants a chance to push back the decision on which hitter to cut to make room for Conforto. Heliot Ramos will be displaced from left field by Conforto’s return, but he figures to remain in the lineup the majority of the time, probably at Luis Matos’s expense. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:08 pm
    • Giants place Blake Snell (groin) on 15-day IL
Giants placed LHP Blake Snell on the 15-day injured list with a strained left groin.

Advice: The Giants could give Mason Black another shot while Snell is out, but they’ll get by with what they have for now. They’re off Thursday, so that will help. Snell is 0-3 with a 9.51 ERA in six starts this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:05 pm

    • Getting rest Monday
Vierling is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Vierling will get a breather for the series opener, despite being one of the hottest hitters in the Detroit lineup at the moment. While starting each of the last seven games, Vierling recorded at least one hit and produced a .438/.455/.906 slash line overall. The 27-year-old should have a hold on a near-everyday role while he's sizzling at the plate, but his absence from the lineup Monday will open up a spot in the outfield for Akil Baddoo. • Sitting against righty again
Mullins is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Mullins' grasp on a regular role in the Baltimore outfield could be loosening; he'll find himself on the bench against a right-handed starting pitcher (Kevin Gausman) for the second time in three games. Dating back to May 24, Mullins has produced just one hit in 20 at-bats, bringing his season-long slash line down to an abysmal .181/.225/.319 over 178 plate appearances. With Mullins taking a seat, Colton Cowser will cover center field while Austin Hays cracks the lineup in left field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:38 am
    • Activated from injured list
The Rays reinstated Lowe (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Monday.

Advice: Tampa Bay is off Monday, but the club went ahead and officially put Lowe back on its active roster ahead of their series against the Marlins, which begins Tuesday. Lowe has been limited to just 14 games this season because of a pair of oblique strains, but he's ready to roll after going 4-for-12 with a triple, three runs and two RBI over three rehab games with Triple-A Durham. He'll likely see most of his playing time in right field for the Rays but could also play some in center. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:57 am

    • Rays activate Josh Lowe (oblique) from 10-day IL
Rays activated OF Josh Lowe from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: As anticipated, Lowe will be back in uniform with the team when they kick off their two-game set against the Marlins in Miami on Tuesday. Prior to his stint on the injured list, the 26-year-old outfielder had been hitting .240/.296/.440 with two dingers and three RBI in his first 50 at-bats. Jonathan Aranda was optioned to Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move on Monday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:47 am

    • On track for activation Monday
Conforto (hamstring) is likely to be activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Monday's game in Arizona, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Conforto got into two rehab games with Triple-A Sacramento on Friday and Saturday, going 1-for-5 with one walk and one strikeout. He was set to be re-evaluated by the team after that and, as long as he feels fine, is expected back in the lineup Monday. Conforto has missed a little more than three weeks of action with a right hamstring strain. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:17 am
    • Michael Conforto (hamstring) could return Monday
Michael Conforto (hamstring) is tentatively expected to return to the Giants’ lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Diamondbacks in Arizona.

Advice: The 31-year-old outfielder played in a pair of minor league rehab games at Triple-A Sacramento over the weekend, going 1-for-5 (.200) with a 1/1 K/BB ratio. He was set to be evaluated on Monday, and as long as everything goes well he’ll be cleared to return. Before landing on the injured list on May 12, Conforto had been hitting .280/.331/.490 with seven homers and 20 RBI in 154 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:48 am
    • Tracking toward Tuesday return
Lowe (oblique) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's game in Miami after he completed a rehab assignment at Triple-A Durham over the weekend, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe went 4-for-12 with a triple, three runs and two RBI over the three-game rehab assignment and played all nine innings in right field in Sunday's contest. The 26-year-old has made a swift recovery from his right oblique strain, a recurrence of a previous injury that had kept him on the shelf for the first five weeks of the season. Once activated, Lowe will likely move between center field, right field and designated hitter while occupying a prominent spot in the lineup against right-handed pitching. Lowe's impending return could result in the likes of Jose Siri and Richie Palacios losing out on playing time. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:45 am
