    • Mason Miller nets first career victory on Friday
Mason Miller fired a perfect ninth inning on Friday against the Blue Jays to pick up his first win of the season.

Advice: Miller’s fastball velocity was down slightly in this one as he failed to touch triple-digits on three fastballs, but was still averaging a sizzling 99.4 mph in this one. He needed just 12 pitches to strike out a pair of batters in a flawless ninth inning before JJ Bleday delivered a walk-off homer in the bottom of the frame to give him his first win of the year. The hard-thrwoing 25-year-old former top prospect has blossomed into arguably the best reliever in baseball this season with 12 saves to go along with a stellar 2.20 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 54/11 K/BB ratio across 28 2/3 innings (22 appearances). • Secures first career win
Miller (1-0) struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the win Friday over the Blue Jays.

Advice: The win was Miller's first in the majors, which came in his 32nd career appearance. He kept the game tied at 1-1 in the top of the ninth inning before JJ Bleday swatted a walk-off solo home run in the Athletics' half of the frame. While Miller's been scored on in three of his last six outings, he's still sporting a 2.20 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 54:11 K:BB through 28.2 innings this season. He's also gone 12-for-13 in save chances for a team that hasn't had a ton of leads to protect. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:34 pm

    • Punches out 10 in win
Crochet (5-4) yielded two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over six innings Friday, striking out 10 and earning a win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Crochet gave up a pair of runs in the third inning but only one was earned due to his own throwing error. He's produced quality starts in four straight appearances and six of his last seven. Crochet generated 17 whiffs and racked up double-digit strikeouts for the fourth time this season. Since April 29, he's produced a ridiculous 1.37 ERA with a 63:9 K:BB in eight starts. Crochet will carry a 3.33 ERA into his next start, which is expected to be in Seattle next week. • Garrett Crochet fans 10 as White Sox snap skid
Garrett Crochet yielded two runs — one earned — and struck out 10 in six innings as the White Sox defeated the Red Sox 7-2 to snap a 14-game losing streak.

Advice: The White Sox’s previous win also, not coincidentally, came in a Crochet start on May 21. He has six of the White Sox’s 16 victories on the year. Crochet reached 10 strikeouts for the fourth time this season while allowing two runs or fewer for the eighth straight start. He’s due to face the Mariners next. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:31 pm

    • Nabs quality start in no-decision
Lopez allowed two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over six innings in a no-decision against Washington on Thursday.

Advice: Lopez held the Nationals scoreless until the sixth inning, when CJ Abrams and Lane Thomas tagged him for back-to-back solo homers. Lopez looked like he could be on the ropes when the following two batters singled, but the right-handed hurler got out of the jam without another run scoring. That allowed him to register his seventh quality start in what has been a career-best campaign. Lopez ranks third among qualified starters with a 1.85 ERA through 63.1 innings on the season. • Lopez allows two in no-decision Thursday
Reynoldo Lopez allowed two runs in six innings and got a no-decision in the Braves’ 5-2 victory over the Nationals on Thursday.

Advice: Lopez gave up six hits, walked one and struck out seven. CJ Abrams and Lane Thomas hit back-to-back home runs off him in the sixth inning. The home runs Lopez allowed were his third and fourth of the season (0.57 HR/9). Only Ranger Suarez and Luis Gil have a lower ERA than Lopez’ 1.85 (min. 50 innings), though his xFIP is significantly higher at 3.71. He has eight quality starts but he’s only won three of his 11 starts this year. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Orioles on the road next week.

    • Grabs five-out save
Miller allowed one run on one hit and one walk with one strikeout over 1.2 innings, earning the save in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Miller was strong, aside from a 102.5 mph pitch that Julio Rodriguez took out of the yard in the ninth inning. This was Miller's first outing since his blown save versus the Rays last Thursday. The flamethrower has been tagged for eight runs (five earned) over his last 7.1 innings, but he has three saves and a blown save in that span. For the season, he's up to 12 saves in 13 chances with a 2.28 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 52:11 K:BB across 27.2 innings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:34 pm

    • Secures sixth straight victory
Rodon (8-2) earned the win over Minnesota on Wednesday, allowing two runs on three hits and no walks while striking out nine batters.

Advice: Rodon was staked to a 4-0 lead after the first inning and never looked back, keeping alive a perfect game until Carlos Santana homered with one out in the sixth frame. The left-handed hurler picked up his sixth consecutive win, and he's notched a quality start in each of those victories. Rodon also dominated with 18 swinging strikes Wednesday en route to a season-high nine punchouts. He's bounced back from a disastrous first year in New York last season to post a 3.08 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 71:20 K:BB through 73 innings during the current campaign. • Mason Miller locks down five-out save vs. Mariners
Mason Miller allowed a run over 1 2/3 innings while striking out one to earn the save against the Mariners on Wednesday.

Advice: Miller was asked to preserve the A’s two-run lead in the eighth inning with two runners on and one out. He induced a fly out and a groundout to keep the Mariners scoreless. Miller returned for the ninth and surrendered a solo homer to Julio Rodríguez before locking down his 12th save of the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:02 pm
