• Willy Adames singles home game-winner in extras
Willy Adames drove in three runs including the game-winner in the 10th to give the Brewers a 4-3 win over the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Adames had three hits in the contest, and the biggest was a game-winning infield single off Michael Kopech in the bottom of the 10th. Adames has been an RBI machine throughout the year, and is already up to 42 on the season. He’s also added nine homers and eight steals, so it’s fair to say Adames has been more fantasy helper than hurter so far in 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:18 pm
  • Nick Gonzales with two more hits
Nick Gonzales went 2-for-5 with a run scored against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Advice: Gonzales has been a welcome surprise so far this season slashing .319/.377/.536 across 19 games. His nearly 17% barrel rate would be one of the best in the league if he were a qualified hitter and he should remain a regular for the offensively starved Pirates. Rotoworld Friday, 8:07 pm

  • Edmundo Sosa powers Phillies past Cardinals
Edmundo Sosa clobbered a two-run homer on Friday night, powering the Phillies to a 4-2 victory over the visiting Cardinals.

Advice: The 28-year-old shortstop capped off a three-run rally in the second inning with his mammoth 439-foot (110.0 mph EV) two-run blast on the first pitch that he saw from Miles Mikolas. That would be his only hit in three at-bats on the night. Sosa has been swinging a very hot stick for the Phillies — slashing .307/.378/.591 with four long balls and 15 RBI in his first 99 plate appearances. Rotoworld Friday, 5:58 pm

Adames went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk, three total RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 10-6 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Adames extended his hitting streak to eight games, a span in which he's gone 12-for-31 (.387) with two homers, five doubles and 10 RBI. The shortstop is up to a .255/.328/.454 slash line with nine long balls, 39 RBI, 30 runs scored and eight stolen bases through 55 contests this season. He's bounced back from his poor 2023 and is on pace to challenge for a 100-RBI campaign. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:49 pm

Advice: Adames brought a run in to score with a base hit in the third, then drew walk in the fifth. He later took Kyle Hendricks deep for a two-run blast in the seventh inning. It was his second home run in three games with extending his hit streak to eight. • Four hits in twin bill
Gonzales went 4-for-9 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader split with the Tigers.

Advice: The Pirates were blanked in the opener and managed only three hits in total off Tarik Skubal and the Detroit bullpen, but Gonzales had one of them. The 25-year-old second baseman really came to life in the second contest, as he launched a solo shot off Keider Montero in the fourth inning and was a key part of a 10-2 rout by Pittsburgh. Gonzales has hit safely in 13 of the last 15 games as he solidifies his spot in the Bucs' lineup, batting .328 (19-for-58) over that stretch with three homers, a steal, nine runs and 14 RBI. Willy Adames went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Cubs.

It was Adames’ lone hit of the night, but it did extend his hitting streak to his seven games. He’s now totaled 10 hits in his last 28 at-bats. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:07 pm
  • Smacks homer in win
Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Monday's victory over the Cubs.

Advice: Adames popped his first home run since May 7 when he crushed a 427-foot, three-run shot off Hayden Wesneski in the eighth inning. The Brewers shortstop hopes the homer turns his month around, as he entered the game slashing .213/.253/.404 over 99 plate appearances in May. Overall, Adames is hitting .249/.322/.440 with eight home runs, 27 runs scored and 35 RBI in 233 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:38 pm
