• Jake Cronenworth leaves the yard in win on Sunday
Jake Cronenworth blasted his seventh home run of the season on Sunday, helping to power the Padres to victory over the visiting Dodgers.

Advice: The 30-year-old infielder went back-to-back with teammate Fernando Tatis Jr. off of Walker Buehler in the opening inning of this one, with Cronenworth’s blast traveling 408 feet (106.5 mph EV). That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the afternoon. For the season, he’s now slashing a healthy .285/.349/.503 to go along with the aforementioned seven long balls and 27 RBI. • LaMonte Wade Jr. hits two-run homer in Giants’ win
LaMonte Wade Jr. hit a two-run homer and walked twice Sunday as the Giants bested the Reds 6-5 in 10 innings.

Advice: One of the walks was his first intentional pass of the season. The MLB OBP leader at .480, Wade now has two homers in 123 plate appearances. Because of his performance and the fact that the Giants are really banged up, he made his first two starts of the year against lefties on Friday and Saturday. That he’s not platooning at the moment makes him an option in deeper mixed leagues. Rotoworld Today, 4:56 pm

  • Jeimer Candelario delivers three-run double
Jeimer Candelario just missed a grand slam on Sunday, settling for a three-run double against the Giants.

Advice: Candelario delivered the blast that left Jung Hoo Lee with an injured shoulder after he crashed into the wall. Statcast said it would have been a homer in 18 ballparks. Rotoworld Today, 4:56 pm

  • Hunter Goodman goes 0-for-3 against Rangers
Hunter Goodman went 0-for-3 before being lifted from Sunday’s game against the Rangers.

Advice: This makes back-to-back days that Goodman, who homered Saturday, has started over Elehuris Montero at first base. Prior to that, Goodman had started just once in seven games and twice in 11 games. That the Rockies are handling one of their better prospects like this is rather baffling, but Goodman isn’t inspiring much confidence with his 2-for-21 start, even if both of his hits have been homers. Barring a very good week, he’ll probably return to Triple-A once either Nolan Jones or Kris Bryant returns. Rotoworld Today, 4:05 pm

  • Three-run homer in win
Bell went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run, two walks and two runs scored in Sunday's 7-6 extra-win over the Phillies.

Advice: Bell was able to take Zack Wheeler deep for a three-run shot in the bottom of the third inning, giving the Marlins a 4-3 lead. The long ball was his fifth of the season and second of the month. The first baseman has produced a .270 average with two home runs, eight RBI and three runs scored over 37 at-bats in 11 games in May. Rotowire.com Today, 4:01 pm

  • Hunter Renfroe plates two as Royals top Angels
Hunter Renfroe went 2-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs on Sunday afternoon, leading the Royals to a 4-2 victory over the Angels.

Advice: Renfroe opened things up with a two-run single off of Patrick Sandoval in the fourth inning that extended the Royals’ lead to 3-0 and proved to be the difference in the ballgame. Even with his two knocks on the afternoon, the 32-year-old slugger is still hitting a woeful .153/.223/.261 with only three homers and 15 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 3:48 pm

  • Paul Goldschmidt homers, knocks in two in win
Paul Goldschmidt snapped his skid with a solo homer and an RBI single as the Cardinals edged the Brewers 4-3 on Sunday.

Advice: Goldschmidt was 1-for-32 with 14 strikeouts this month. He did strike out twice more today, and his current 32% K rate is one reason to think he won’t be bouncing all of the way back from this hideous start. Still, things have to get better from here. He’s batting .197/.280/.279. Rotoworld Today, 3:46 pm
  • Stays hot Sunday
Santana went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Santana took Toronto's starter Alek Manoah deep for a three-run shot in the top of the seventh inning, breaking a 0-0 tie. The homer was his seventh of the season and he has now gone deep in three consecutive seasons. Since May 5, Santana has gone 9-for-23 with three home runs, eight RBI and five runs scored over eight contests. Rotowire.com Today, 3:23 pm

  • Spencer Torkelson gets first homer of 2024
Spencer Torkelson finally hit his first homer of the season Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: It was about as meaningless as a homer can be, coming with the Tigers down 9-1 with two outs in the ninth, but let’s not worry about that. Torkelson, who hit 31 homers last season, got his first today in his 164th plate appearances and 38th game. He had four doubles in his previous six games, so it did seem like the drought was due to end. His OPS has climbed from .553 on May 4 to .627 now. Rotoworld Today, 3:03 pm
