      Doval earned a save against the Cubs on Monday, striking out one batter in one perfect inning.

      Advice: San Francisco scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to take a one-run lead, and Doval entered in the bottom of the frame to try to slam the door on Chicago. He did so without much trouble, needing just 11 pitches to set down the side in order. The outing helped wash away the sour taste of Doval's outing one day earlier, when he allowed four runs over one-third of an inning in a non-save situation against the Angels.       Camilo Doval tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Cubs on Monday.

      Trea Turner went 2-for-5 with a run scored on Monday in his return to the Phillies lineup.

      Advice: Turner made an instant impact on Monday in his return to Philadelphia’s lineup following a six-week absence recovering from a left hamstring strain. The 30-year-old speedster’s stolen base totals may take a temporary hit as the Phillies keep a bit of a governor on his running for now, but his return is a much-needed lift for fantasy managers as injuries continue to pile up league-wide.       The Phillies activated Turner (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Monday. He'll start at shortstop and bat second in his return to the lineup for Monday's series opener versus the Padres.

      Advice: Turner rejoins the first-place Phillies following a six-week absence with a strained left hamstring. He didn't go out on a rehab assignment prior to being activated, so it's possible Turner will get some extra off days mixed in as he returns to action. Edmundo Sosa performed well as Turner's main replacement at shortstop and will most likely return to a bench role, though the Phillies have discussed the possibility of getting Sosa some reps in the outfield.       Phillies activated SS Trea Turner from the 10-day injured list.

      Advice: The move was reported on Sunday and is now official. Turner didn’t make any rehab appearances but should be slotted back into lineups to make use of his full week of production. He may not steal as many bases right away in the aftermath of the hamstring injury, but hopefully that speed production will tick back up in the weeks ahead.       Snell (groin) is scheduled to throw a three-inning simulated game Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: On the injured list once again due to a left groin strain after previously missing just over a month earlier in the season with a left adductor strain, Snell looks to be tracking toward an abbreviated stint on the shelf. He completed a bullpen session in San Francisco on Saturday and will now advance to the next phase of his rehab by facing hitters. If all goes well Tuesday, Snell could avoid a rehab assignment and return to the San Francisco rotation as soon as this Saturday or Sunday in St. Louis. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:10 am

      Eflin did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk over 5.2 innings against Atlanta. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Eflin entered the sixth inning with a four-run lead, but after retiring the first two batters in the frame, he allowed four consecutive singles and was removed one out shy of completing six full innings. The seven strikeouts marked a season high for Eflin, who had failed to record more than three strikeouts during any of his previous five starts. He'll carry a 4.12 ERA and 1.17 WHIP into his next start, currently slated to take place over the weekend when the Rays travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates.       Kremer (tricep) struck out three and allowed five runs (two earned) on four hits and one walk over 3.2 innings in his rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Norfolk.

      Advice: Kremer spotted 37 of his 59 pitches in the rehab outing, his first since he was placed on the 15-day injured list May 21 with a right tricep strain. The Orioles haven't decided on Kremer's next step, but since teams typically want rehabbing starters to hit the 70-to-75-pitch mark prior to being activated, the right-hander could be in line for one more start with Norfolk or another affiliate during the upcoming week.     • Camilo Doval has ugly outing in rout
      Brought in with a 13-2 lead in the ninth, Camilo Doval was charged with four runs in one-third of an inning Sunday against the Angels.

      Advice: Ouch. The Giants just wanted to get Doval some work after three days off, and he wound up allowing four hits and two walks. It’s the second time this month that he’s allowed four runs, though it wasn’t nearly as costly last time.
