    • Exits after HBP
Springer was removed from Friday's game against the Yankees due to a left hand contusion.

Advice: Springer took a 93-mph fastball off his hand/wrist during the fifth inning. He remained in the game to run the bases and play defense, but he was eventually pinch hit for by Davis Schneider in the seventh frame. Precautionary imaging on Springer's hand came back negative for a fracture, and his ability to remain in the game immediately following the incident is a good sign he'll remain available for Saturday's contest. • George Springer (hand) exits after hit by pitch
George Springer was removed from Friday night’s battle against the Yankees after being hit on the left hand by a pitch thrown by Michael Tonkin.

Advice: The Blue Jays announced that Springer underwent precautionary imaging on his hand that came back negative for any fractures. That doesn’t mean he’s completely out of the woods, but it’s a very encouraging sign. For now, he’s being considered day-to-day with a left hand contusion. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:39 pm

    • Blasts eighth homer
Robert went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Thursday's 1-0 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Robert's eighth blast of the season came in the first inning off Chris Sale and was the only run to cross the plate on the day. It was just the fourth multi-hit game of the season for Robert, who missed a couple months earlier this season with a hip flexor strain. While he has struggled to the tune of a .204 batting average and 38 strikeouts over 114 plate appearances for the moribund White Sox, his AB/HR ratio of 12.9 is a career-best mark and portends to good things to come for the 26-year-old slugger. • Accumulates six RBI in victory
Springer went 3-for-3 with a pair of three-run home runs in Thursday's 9-2 win against the Yankees.

Advice: Springer punished Yankees starter Carlos Rodon for two three-run homers in the first two innings to set the Blue Jays up for a big victory. The six RBI were a single-game career high for the veteran outfielder, who came into the contest with two home runs and six RBI over his previous 25 games combined. Springer batted an awful .137 through his first 21 contests of June but has gone 6-for-8 with three long balls and eight runs batted in over his past two games. • Doubles, triples in win
Suzuki went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple and an RBI in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants.

Advice: Suzuki didn't rack up the counting stats, but he still had a solid effort in the win. He tallied his 11th double and second triple of the season, and he's now batting a solid .266 with a .796 OPS. Suzuki's game doesn't jump off the page, though he's been a steady contributor since he came over from Japan in 2022. The outfielder slashed .262/.336/.433 as a rookie, then followed that up with a .285/.357/.485 line last season. Suzuki is on pace for similar figures once again this year. • Springer hits two home runs, drives in six in win
George Springer went 3-for-6 with a double, two home runs and six RBI against the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: Springer took Carlos Rodon deep in each of the first two innings. He now has eight home runs on the season. Springer has certainly struggled this year with a .205 average and .618 OPS with 23 RBI on the year.

    • Luis Robert homers to give White Sox 1-0 victory
Luis Robert went 2-for-3 with a homer in a victory over Atlanta on Thursday in the first game of a doubleheader.

Advice: Robert’s homer was not only the only run Chris Sale allowed and not only the only run for the White Sox, it was the only run scored by either team Thursday. The 26-year-old has homered eight times in his 103 at-bats while driving in 12 runs. Robert Jr. has enormous fantasy potential, but it sure would be nice to see him playing for a team that had a semblance of competence. Rotoworld Thursday, 4:55 pm

    • Seiya Suzuki doubles and triples in victory
Seiya Suzuki doubled and tripled in an extra-inning victory Thursday over the Giants.

Advice: Suzuki drove in a run with his triple in the third to give Chicago a 3-0 cushion. He’s now tripled twice in 2024, while the double was his 11th of the campaign. Suzuki has three extra-base hits over the last two games to help improve his slash to .266/.337/.459. Rotoworld Thursday, 4:51 pm

    • Daulton Varsho returns to lineup on Thursday
Daulton Varsho (back) returned to the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Yankees.

Advice: Varsho is back in center field and batting seventh on Thursday evening following a four-game absence due to an ongoing back issue. The hope here is that the extra time off out of an abundance of caution is enough to prevent the issue from becoming an even greater concern. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:09 pm
