• Kodai Senga (shoulder) to face hitters next week
Kodai Senga (shoulder) is scheduled to face hitters on Monday in a live batting practice session.

Advice: Senga remains unlikely to make his season debut until late May, at the earliest, but this latest development represents a massive step forward in his rehabilitation process from a shoulder injury that sent him to the injured list back in spring training. Rotoworld 34 minutes ago

  • Chase Silseth (elbow) resumes throwing Friday
Chase Silseth (elbow) resumed a throwing program on Friday.

Advice: Silseth is aiming to rejoin Los Angeles’ starting rotation in early May after landing on the injured list with right elbow inflammation. The 23-year-old righty might wind up requiring a rehab outing, or two, before he’s ready to return, but is tracking towards being ready at some point in May. Rotoworld 37 minutes ago

  • Cade Cavalli to start rehab assignment in mid-May
Cade Cavalli (elbow) will begin a minor league rehab assignment in mid-May.

Advice: It’s been a minute since fantasy managers got a glimpse of Cavalli, one of the top pitching prospects in the game prior to undergoing Tommy John surgery last spring. The 25-year-old righty is scheduled to face hitters next week in a live batting practice session and will require a handful of rehab outings before he’s ready to make his season debut, likely sometime around midseason. He’s reportedly touching 96 mph in bullpen sessions and also added a sinker to his arsenal. Here we go. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Kyle Bradish strikes out six on Friday at Triple-A
Kyle Bradish (elbow) recorded six strikeouts and surrendered one run over five innings on Friday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Norfolk.

Advice: Bradish appears to be on the precipice of returning to Baltimore’s starting rotation after throwing 77 pitches (49 strikes) over five frames in his latest rehab outing. It’s worth noting that the fastball velocity hasn’t totally rebounded to last year’s levels, but he still managed to induce 13 swinging strikes and finished with a respectable 32 percent CSW in this one. The 27-year-old righty has made a lightning-quick recovery from an offseason UCL sprain in his right elbow and should be rostered in all fantasy formats on the heels of last year’s breakthrough campaign. • Braxton Garrett goes three innings in rehab start
Braxton Garrett (shoulder) allowed two runs over three innings on Friday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Jacksonville.

Advice: Garrett struck out four and didn’t hand out a free pass. His fastball velocity still hasn’t returned to previous levels as he was sitting right around 90 mph in this outing. The 26-year-old lefty, who has battled shoulder issues since the outset of spring training, will likely require an additional rehab outing to continue building up his pitch count and stamina after throwing just 59 pitches (37 strikes) in this one. • Sem Robberse continues hot start at Triple-A
Cardinals RHP prospect Sem Robberse struck out six and allowed two runs over seven innings on Friday for Triple-A Memphis.

Advice: Robberse boasts the second-lowest ERA (1.82) in the International League through five starts after spinning another gem on Friday evening for Triple-A Memphis. He generated 14 swinging strikes and finished with a 32 percent CSW. The 22-year-old righty doesn’t throw hard, but he’s been effective so far in the upper minors since coming over last year in the Jordan Hicks deal with the Blue Jays. Rotoworld 58 minutes ago

  • X-rays negative on Yandy Diaz’s left hand
X-rays came back negative on Yandy Diaz’s left hand.

Advice: It’s an extremely positive development after Diaz was drilled on the left hand by a 99.3 mph fastball from White Sox closer Michael Kopech during Friday’s series opener. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. He’ll likely require a couple days off to rest and recover, at least until the swelling subsides, but he’s not facing an extended absence. • Delivers six shutout frames
Priester struck out six and gave up three hits and one walk over six scoreless innings during Friday's 3-0 loss in San Francisco. He didn't factor in the decision.

Advice: Priester and Giants starter Kyle Harrison each delivered six shutout frames, and the game remained a scoreless tie until Patrick Bailey's walk-off homer in the ninth. Priester surrendered three homers in his season debut versus Boston last week, but he looked much better Friday with 14 whiffs on 84 pitches (58 strikes). The strong performance should give the 23-year-old another turn through the rotation while Marco Gonzales remains sidelined by a forearm injury. Rotowire.com Today, 1:53 am
  • Fires six scoreless innings
Harrison didn't factor in the decision Friday against the Pirates after he struck out seven and allowed five hits and no walks across six scoreless innings.

Advice: Harrison generated 13 swinging strikes on 93 pitches as he gave up fewer than three earned runs in a start for the first time since his season debut. The right-hander missed out on his third win, however, as the Giants didn't score until Patrick Bailey's walk-off, three-run homer in the ninth. Harrison has a 4.09 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 31:5 K:BB over 33 innings through five starts this season. Rotowire.com Today, 1:47 am
