• Gavin Stone limits Atlanta to one run over six
Gavin Stone didn’t factor into the decision against Atlanta on Friday despite allowing just one run over six innings.

Advice: Stone was excellent, but the Dodgers blew a late lead to prevent him from picking up the win. The 25-year-old threw 58-of-86 pitches for strikes while fanning five and issuing just one walk. Stone isn’t missing bats at an elite level, but it’s tough to argue with the results thus far. He gets a tasty matchup against the Marlins next week. Rotoworld 19 minutes ago

  • End of chapter: Pages walks-off Atlanta in 11th
Andy Pages went 4-for-5 with the game-winning single in the 11th inning to give the Dodgers a 4-3 win over Atlanta on Friday.

Advice: Pages put an end to that chapter, with the chapter being an 11-inning affair in this case. The rookie outfielder has his first ever four-hit game, and one of those was a walk-off single in the 11th off Jesse Chavez. Pages has looked the part and then some thus far, and is obviously worthy of roster consideration in redraft leagues. Rotoworld 20 minutes ago

  • Shelled in loss
Cecconi (1-2) took the loss Friday against the Padres, yielding six runs on five hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Cecconi cruised through the San Diego lineup once, retiring the first nine batters in order. However, he floundered in the fourth, allowing four runs, two walks and three extra base hits, including back-to-back homers to Fernando Tatis and Jake Cronenworth. Cecconi looks to bounce back in his next start, scheduled against Cincinnati on the road. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago

  • Quality in loss
Weathers (2-3) took the loss Friday against the Athletics, allowing three runs on five hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Despite yielding three runs, Weathers completed six innings to collect his second quality start of the season. Most importantly, the Miami lefty was able to control the free passes Friday night, allowing no walks for the first time since a June 15, 2023 start against Cleveland as member of the Padres. Weathers is scheduled to make his next start against the Dodgers on the road. Rotowire.com 50 minutes ago

  • Goes deep in win
Rooker went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Friday's win over the Marlins.

Advice: Rooker opened the scoring Friday night, crushing a titanic 440-foot homer off Ryan Weathers in the fourth inning to give Oakland the lead. Despite sporting a .211 batting average, the Athletics designated hitter has provided plenty of power with six homers while slugging .507. Rooker may be heating up along with the spring weather, as he's hit .269 (7-for-26) with two homers and eight RBI over his last eight games. Rotowire.com 52 minutes ago

  • Handed loss Friday
Keller (0-1) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks over 4.2 innings Friday, striking out five and taking a loss against St. Louis.

Advice: Keller coughed up a pair of runs in the first inning but kept the Cardinals in check until he was charged with another run in the fifth. He forced 12 swinging strikes but needed 102 pitches to get through 4.2 frames. Keller registered a 4.50 ERA across three starts with Triple-A Charlotte before his promotion to the MLB level and it's unclear what role the White Sox plan on using him in moving forward. • Collects second save
Erceg picked up the save Friday against Miami. He pitched a 1.1 innings with three strikeouts, allowing one run on two hits and no walks.

Advice: In a semi-surprising development, Oakland manager Mark Kotsay allowed Erceg to collect the save Friday night instead of Mason Miller. However, Miller pitched back-to-back nights on Tuesday and Wednesday and may have required additional rest. In earning his second save, Erceg has shown to be the next reliever in line for the Athletics closer role. Rotowire.com 54 minutes ago

  • Cole Irvin turns in another scoreless start in win
Cole Irvin allowed only a pair of hits over 6 1/3 innings Friday in the Orioles’ 3-0 shutout of the Reds.

Advice: It’s Irvin’s third straight scoreless start. His stint in the rotation figured to be a short one with Kyle Bradish and John Means on the IL to open the year, but he’s gained a reprieve with Grayson Rodriguez and Tyler Wells going down and he’s making the most of it, having gone 3-1 with a 2.86 ERA to date. • Craig Kimbrel strikes out side to earn save
Craig Kimbrel returned to action and earned a save on Friday, striking out all three batters he faced versus the Reds.

Advice: That’s quite the positive outing for Kimbrel after he blew a second straight save chance Sunday and then missed a few days with back soreness. He has a 2.92 ERA and a 20/6 K/BB ratio in 12 1/3 innings for the season. Rotoworld Today, 9:32 pm
