    • Exits with elbow soreness Sunday
Blue Jays manager John Schneider said after Sunday's 7-6 win over the Guardians that Garcia was removed from the contest in the ninth inning with right elbow soreness, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports. "We'll see how he is and know more later [Sunday or Monday]."

Advice: Called upon for the save chance with the Blue Jays holding a 7-4 lead entering the top of the ninth, Garcia lacked his usual command in the relief appearance. After inducing a leadoff popout from Kyle Manzardo, Garcia surrendered a base hit to Daniel Schneemann before serving up a two-run home run to Brayan Rocchio. He then got Bo Naylor to foul out before getting lifted from the game after serving up back-to-back singles to Steven Kwan and Tyler Freeman. Nate Pearson came on with two outs and runners on the corners to put out the fire and enable Garcia to earn his 10th hold of the season, but Garcia's health now becomes the greater concern. If Garcia's elbow issue is serious enough for him to join Jordan Romano (elbow) on the injured list, the Blue Jays could turn to Pearson, Chad Green and Tim Mayza to handle any future save chances that may arise. • Garcia leaves with trainer Sunday
Yimi Garcia left with an apparent injury against the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: We’ll have more when there’s an update on Garcia’s status. He left the mound with trainers with two men on and two outs in the ninth inning. Nate Pearson got the final out to earn his second save of the year. It’s unclear what the timetable could be for Garcia, who seemed to have a grip on the closer’s role in Toronto with Jordan Romano (elbow) out. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:37 pm

    • Varsho hits grand slam for 11th home run Sunday
Daulton Varsho went 2-for-4 with a grand slam against the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: The home run was Varsho’s 11th of the season. He could’ve had an even bigger game as he came up with the bases loaded again in the eighth inning, but he struck out. While he’s only hitting .220, he’s produced in the power categories with 11 home runs and 35 RBI. His .238 ISO is even higher than his .207 ISO in 2022 when he hit 27 home runs with the Diamondbacks.

    • Pete Fairbanks locked down Braves for save
Pete Fairbanks struck out two and walked one en route to his 10th save of the season on Sunday.

Advice: Fairbanks has been solid since returning from the IL last month with six saves in as many chances. It’s worth keeping an eye on his walk rate though as it’s inched up over 12%, the highest mark of his career. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:27 pm
    • Austin Riley heating up, homers again
Austin Riley went 2-for-4 with a game-tying two-run home run and two runs scored on Sunday against the Rays.

Advice: Congratulations to all the fantasy managers who kept their patience with Riley because the hot streak is officially here. He homered in every game this weekend and has raised his OPS from .618 to .695 since Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:26 pm

    • Thomas hits home run for third consecutive game
Lane Thomas went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: It’s Thomas’ third consecutive game with a home run. He now has seven total on the year. Thomas has been hot over his last 10 games going 10-for-37 (.351) to bring his season average to .238. He stole 11 bases in 22 games in April, but has just five steals in 20 games since.

    • Belts 11th homer
Olson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run in a 9-2 win against Tampa Bay on Saturday.

Advice: Olson was part of a big fifth inning for Atlanta, swatting the team's third and final homer in the frame. The first baseman extended his hitting streak to nine contests, a stretch during which he is batting .361 (13-for-26) with two home runs and five RBI. Olson's 11 homers are second-most on Atlanta but are well off the pace of the 54 long balls he belted last season. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:04 pm

    • Cranks three-run homer
Riley went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run and two walks in Saturday's 9-2 victory against the Rays.

Advice: Riley broke the game open in the seventh frame with his three-run shot to center field that gave Atlanta an 8-1 lead. It was the second straight contest with a long ball for the third baseman following a 23-game homerless stretch (and a 45-game span during which he went deep only once). Riley may finally be getting his power on track, but with just five long balls through 233 plate appearances, he'll be hard-pressed to reach 30 homers for the fourth straight season. • Austin Riley homers against in win
Austin Riley went 1-for-2 with a home run and two walks in a win over the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: That’s now homers in back-to-back games for Riley, who might be starting to wake up a bit. There wasn’t much under the hood that looked “off” with Riley this year, but he was being pitched differently and not being given much he could turn on, which had hurt his pull power. Perhaps it took him a while to adjust his approach to combat that, or perhaps it’s just two good games. Only time will tell, but it seems smart to bet on Riley. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:17 pm
