    • Starts rehab assignment
Sborz (shoulder) allowed two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out one over two-thirds of an inning for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

Advice: Sborz started a rehab assignment Sunday and threw 20 pitches (10 strikes) with his fastball topping out at 95.7 mph. Per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, Sborz had been scheduled to throw an inning. Texas manager Bruce Bochy didn't give a specific number of outings or innings for the reliever, who's been out since May 8 with right shoulder tightness. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago

    • Begins rehab assignment
Jung (wrist) started at third base and went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

Advice: Jung kicked off a rehab assignment for the Express and played five innings in the field. Texas manager Bruce Bochy previously targeted Jung for 30 at-bats before returning to the major leagues, but the manager acknowledged Sunday to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com that it's a fluid situation. "We'll kind of monitor how things are going with him, the at-bats, how his body is bouncing back," Bochy said. "But we don't have a specific number." Jung fractured his wrist on April 1 and underwent surgery the following day leading to his stay on the 60-day injured list. Rotowire.com 14 minutes ago

    • Uses all pitches in bullpen session
Santos (lat) threw a 30-pitch up-and-down bullpen session Saturday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Santos tossed 15 pitches in both of his sets and mixed in all of his pitches. Assuming Santos comes out of the side session without any renewed discomfort in his right lat, he'll likely be cleared to face hitters in a live batting practice session later this week. The Mariners remain optimistic that Santos will return from the 60-day injured list and make his team debut at some point in July. Rotowire.com 26 minutes ago
    • Falls to 2-9
Hudson (2-9) yielded three runs on seven hits and a walk over 5.1 innings Sunday, striking out five and taking a loss against the Pirates.

Advice: Hudson gave up one through five frames before the Pirates broke out with a five-run sixth inning, with two of those runs being charged to Hudson. He forced 11 whiffs, including six via the slider. Hudson has produced a 4.41 ERA through three starts this month, slightly lowering his season ERA to 4.89 through 73.2 frames. His next start is projected to be at home against Washington. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago

    • Homers in loss
Steer went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Steer gave the Reds a 3-0 lead in the fourth inning when he belted his eighth home run of the season. He's been quiet of late, having entered the contest on a 4-for-31 (.129) run with one RBI over the previous nine games. Despite the drop in production, Steer leads Cincinnati with 42 RBI. • Delivers three hits
Tellez went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Sunday's win over the Rockies.

Advice: Tellez singled three times, including a two-run base hit in the seventh inning. He's slashing .419/.471/.581 with nine RBI over his last nine games. The hot streak has been encouraging but he has plenty of work left to undo his ugly start to the season; Tellez owns a .576 OPS with seven extra-base hits through 58 games. • Returns with scoreless outing
Fleming allowed four hits over four-plus shutout innings during a no-decision Sunday. He struck out two during the win over Colorado.

Advice: Fleming made his first MLB appearance since May 13 and impressed with four scoreless frames. He gave up a pair of singles without recording an out in the fifth inning but Carmen Mlodzinski escaped the jam to keep the Rockies off the board. Fleming now owns a 4.70 ERA with a 15:9 K:BB through 23 MLB innings this season. He'll most likely shift to the bullpen or head back to Triple-A Indianapolis. Rotowire.com 45 minutes ago

    • Gets another start at 3B
Alexander started at third base and went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Alexander slotted in at third base for the second time in the last five games, as Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo seeks more production from the hot corner. Eugenio Suarez's season-long slump prompted the manager's decision to give Alexander more starts at third base, a position at which Arizona ranks 29th with a .588 OPS. Rotowire.com 52 minutes ago
    • Delivers two runs in win
Pederson went 1-for-2 with two walks, a double, two RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Pederson got the rout started with a two-run double in the first inning, extending an RBI streak to four games. The month of June had been a quiet one for the DH (.419 OPS in nine games) prior to this recent stretch in which he's been involved in several rallies. Pederson has three walks, a double, two home runs, 10 RBI and seven runs scored over the last four games. Rotowire.com Today, 5:21 am
