    • Marlins placed SS Anderson on bereavement list
Marlins placed SS Tim Anderson on the bereavement list.

Advice: Anderson has struggled mightily this season. He’s hitting .188 with no home runs in 165 at-bats with Miami this year. He’ll be out for a few games now that he’s on the bereavement list. Rotoworld Today, 12:28 pm

    • On Bereavement List
Anderson was placed on the Bereavement List Friday.

Advice: Anderson will be away from the team as he tends to personal matters. While he's absent, Vidal Brujan and recently called-up Xavier Edwards should handle most of the work at shortstop. Anderson is slashing just .188/.221/.206 in 172 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 11:37 am

    • Smacks homer in loss
Vaughn went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 14-2 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Vaughn has hit safely in his last six games, going 8-for-23 (.348) in that span. He dealt with a sprained left ring finger to begin June, but it hasn't slowed him down since he was cleared to return. The first baseman is up to five homers on the year with 20 RBI, 17 runs scored, one stolen base and a .211/.275/.338 slash line through 233 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:36 pm

    • Gets rest during blowout
Devers was replaced by a pinch hitter during the seventh inning of Thursday's game against the White Sox, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: Devers exited with the Red Sox up 11-0 to get some extra rest, and he went 1-for-4 with a run scored prior to hitting the bench. He now has a six-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 8-for-23 with three homers, six RBI and seven runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:06 pm

    • Racks up three hits in win
Estrada went 3-for-6 with a double, one RBI and one run scored in Wednesday's 9-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Estrada missed three games with a jammed thumb to begin June, but he's been strong at the plate on both sides of that minor injury. This was his fourth multi-hit effort in his last six games. The second baseman is up to a .250/.282/.417 slash line with eight home runs, one stolen base, 32 RBI and 33 runs scored over 59 contests this season. The Giants' lineup has been in flux for much of the year due to numerous injuries, but Estrada's been a near-constant presence even amid his early struggles. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:09 pm

    • Three hits, homer vs. Cincinnati
Diaz went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and two additional RBI in a 12-7 loss to the Reds on Wednesday.

Advice: After opening the scoring with an RBI groundout in the first inning, Diaz put the Rockies ahead 5-4 with a solo shot off Nick Martinez before adding a third RBI with a base hit in the seventh. It's the third multi-hit effort in four games for Diaz -- he's gone 7-for-16 in that span. The 33-year-old backstop is off to another strong start this year, slashing .306/.351/.452 with five homers, 27 RBI and 20 runs scored through 202 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:36 pm

    • Jordan Montgomery’s struggles continue vs. Giants
Jordan Montgomery was torched for six runs over two innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Giants.

Advice: Montgomery kicked off the contest with a pair of scoreless frames before coming completely unraveled in a calamitous third inning when San Francisco struck for six runs on six hits, including a pair of homers. He finished with two strikeouts and also issued one walk. The 31-year-old lefty has been hit extremely hard in his Arizona debut so far, allowing six earned runs in back-to-back outings and three of his nine starts so far since April 19. He’ll bring a bloated 6.80 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 29/18 K/BB ratio across 46 1/3 innings (nine starts). He’s going to improve at some point, but it’s difficult for fantasy managers to trust him at the moment until he shows some signs that he’s turning things around. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:12 pm
    • Hit hard in Wednesday's loss
Montgomery (3-4) took the loss Wednesday, coughing up six runs on seven hits and three walks over two-plus innings as Arizona fell 9-3 to San Francisco. He struck out one.

Advice: The southpaw held the Giants off the board for two innings, but things fell apart quickly in the third, highlighted by Wilmer Flores' grand slam -- the first slam Montgomery has ever served up in his career. The 31-year-old has been tagged for 14 runs in only six innings over his last two starts, and he'll carry a 6.80 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 29:18 K:BB through 46.1 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Angels. • Elias Díaz notches three hits, homers in loss
Elias Díaz went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and three RBI on Wednesday in the Rockies’ loss to the Reds.

Advice: Díaz did most of his damage in the early stages of the contest when he kicked off the scoring with a first-inning RBI ground out before adding a solo shot in the fifth inning -- his fifth long ball of the season -- and also chipping in a run-scoring single in the seventh inning. The 33-year-old veteran backstop is quietly hitting .306 with 20 runs scored, five homers and 27 RBI this season through 51 games. Rotoworld Wednesday, 4:29 pm
