    • Sitting Thursday
Langeliers isn't in the Athletics' lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Langeliers will get a breather after he went 1-for-4 and stole a base during Wednesday's win. Kyle McCann will start behind the plate instead and bat fifth. Rotowire.com 31 minutes ago

    • Swipes fourth base in win
Langeliers went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run in a win over the Angels on Wednesday.

Advice: The power-hitting backstop showed off the wheels following his sixth-inning single, working his way into scoring position with a steal of second and subsequently racing home on Brett Harris' knock with the Athletics' fifth and final run of the night. Langeliers, who now has a career-high four stolen bases, has hit safely in three of his last four games, and while he maintains a forgettable .204 average and .256 OBP, he's sporting a solid .427 slugging percentage thanks to having laced 25 of his 52 hits for extra bases, Rotowire.com Today, 8:25 am

    • Senga’s next rehab start will be at Triple-A
Kodai Senga (shoulder) will make his next start at Triple-A Syracuse.

Advice: Senga threw 2 2/3 perfect innings on Wednesday in a minor league rehab start for High-A Brooklyn, striking out six on the day. He will now start in Triple-A on Tuesday and will throw 50 pitches, according to Mets manager Carlos Mendoza. At this same, Senga would likely need at least two more rehab starts after this one to build up his pitch count enough to return. Rotoworld Today, 8:07 am

    • Moving rehab to Triple-A
Senga (shoulder) is expected to make his next rehab start with Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: The 31-year-old threw 35 pitches over 2.2 frames in his previous outing with High-A Brooklyn on Wednesday, and he's expected to build up to about 50 pitches in his next start. The Mets want Senga to be built up to around 75-to-80 pitches before he returns from the injured list, and he's trending toward making his season debut in late July. • Lasts only three innings
Stone did not factor into the decision in a loss to Arizona on Wednesday, allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks over three innings while striking out three.

Advice: Stone battled with Arizona's lineup from the jump, allowing three of the first four batters to reach in the opening frame before allowing another three baserunners in the second. He then surrendered four runs on four hits in the third, including a two-run homer off the bat of Gabriel Moreno as the Diamondbacks evened the score at four runs apiece. The right-hander would not return for the fourth after needing 77 pitches to get through three frames, marking his shortest outing since April 7 against the Cubs. Stone had gone at least five innings in 11 consecutive starts coming in, though he's now walked multiple batters in five of his last six. Rotowire.com Today, 7:31 am

    • Impressive first rehab start
Senga (shoulder/triceps) struck out six over 2.2 scoreless innings in his first rehab start with High-A Brooklyn on Wednesday.

Advice: The only runner to reach base against Senga did so on an error, and he induced two groundouts in addition to his six punchouts. It was an encouraging performance from Senga, who threw 35 pitches over his 2.2 frames. He will need at least a couple more rehab starts before rejoining the Mets' rotation for his season debut. • Kodai Senga strikes out six in first rehab start
Kodai Senga (shoulder) recorded six strikeouts over 2 2/3 perfect innings on Wednesday in a minor league rehab start for High-A Brooklyn.

Advice: Things went swimmingly for Senga in his long-awaited return to game action as he threw 35 pitches (25 strikes) and fanned six of the nine batters he faced. The 31-year-old righty, who has been on the shelf since spring training due to a shoulder issue, will need several additional rehab outings before he’s ready to make his season debut. He’ll progress to facing some higher level minor-league hitters in the near future. Rotoworld Today, 5:08 am

    • Homer, three RBI in win
Gurriel went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, three RBI and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 12-4 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Gurriel knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly in the first inning then homered in the sixth to plate another two runs. The outfielder continued to hit in July after a highly productive June. Since June 1, Gurriel is 35-for-105 (.333) with six home runs, 20 RBI and eight additional runs scored over 28 games. • Just misses quality start
Kikuchi allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Houston on Wednesday.

Advice: Kikuchi gave up just one run through five frames before serving up a solo shot to Yordan Alvarez in the sixth. The southpaw got two more outs in the inning but was pulled one out shy of a quality start following a Jeremy Pena double. Despite that disappointment, this was a positive outing for Kikuchi after he had given up 13 runs across 11 frames over his final three starts of June. The hurler has fallen off after a strong start to the campaign -- across his past eight appearances, he has just one quality start while registering a 6.50 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 37:10 K:BB across 36 innings.
