    • Still sidelined Sunday
Riley (side) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Advice: The 27-year-old said Saturday that he's feeling better, but he's still absent from the lineup for a sixth straight game due to left side inflammation. A trip to the injured list has yet to be discussed with the third baseman, but that could change if Riley doesn't show more improvement soon. Zack Short will receive another start at the hot corner Sunday for Atlanta. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago

    • Riley, d’Arnaud remain out against Padres
Austin Riley (side) is not in the lineup for Sunday’s contest against the Padres.

Advice: As expected, Riley will miss a sixth straight games as he deals with left side inflammation. The infielder is considered day-to-day, but his next chance to get in the lineup won’t come until next week. Zack Short will start while he rests. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

    • On track for Tuesday
Musgrove (elbow) is listed as the Padres' probable starter for Tuesday's game against the Reds, ESPN.com reports.

Advice: The veteran right-hander was originally expected to return from the injured list to start Sunday in Atlanta, but Yu Darvish is now pitching that contest following Saturday's postponement. Musgrove will return from elbow inflammation without going on a rehab assignment, so he could have some minor workload limitations in his first start back. Rotowire.com Today, 9:44 am

    • Joe Musgrove (triceps) likely to start Tuesday
Joe Musgrove (triceps) won’t be activated off the injured list Sunday.

Advice: Instead, Musgrove is likely to start Tuesday against the Reds. The right-hander was scheduled to come off the injured list Sunday from his triceps injury, but with Saturday’s game being postponed due to rain, the Padres will push back Musgrove’s return to the mound a couple of days. • Return date uncertain
Musgrove (elbow) is no longer slated to pitch Sunday, as the team pushed Yu Darvish back after Saturday's game was postponed due to inclement weather.

Advice: Furthermore, the Padres are currently listing Dylan Cease and Randy Vasquez for Monday's doubleheader, so Tuesday may be the new target date for Musgrove. Manager Mike Shildt had previously indicated Musgrove would return Sunday, but that was before Saturday's rainout. Musgrove has struggled this season but appears on track to bypass a rehab assignment and return shortly after the minimum. Rotowire.com Today, 9:06 am

    • Scores twice in win
Freeman went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Reds.

Advice: Freeman drew a leadoff walk to open the bottom of the fourth and would eventually come home to score the Dodgers' first run of the contest later in the frame on a single from outfielder Andy Pages. The star first baseman would add an RBI single in the fourth, along with a leadoff double in the eighth, before coming around to score for a second time. Freeman had gone hitless in his previous two games but now has five multi-hit games in May to go along with six RBI and 14 runs scored. He's also tied for fifth in the league in doubles with 13. • Freddie Freeman reaches three times in win
Freddie Freeman went 2-for-3 with an RBI single on Saturday, lifting the Dodgers to a 4-0 victory over the Reds.

Advice: Freeman reached base safely in three of his four plate appearances as he continues to find his groove at the dish, batting .302 (16-for-53) with two homers over his last 15 contests. The 34-year-old veteran on-base machine isn’t running much at the moment with just one steal through 48 games, but his plate skills remain elite. Rotoworld Today, 3:49 am

    • Perez drives in two on Saturday
Salvador Perez went 1-for-4 with two RBI against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Perez had a two-run single in the first inning that opened the scoring. The 34-year-old backstop has been great this year as he’s hitting .333 with a .949 OPS. His walk percentage is nearly double what it usually is at 7.8 percent and his strikeout percentage of 15 percent would be his lowest since 2015. Still, we can’t expect Perez to keep up this average as his .368 BABIP is 77 points higher than his career .291 BABIP.

    • Joe Musgrove (triceps) will return from IL Sunday
Padres’ manager Mike Shildt confirmed that Joe Musgrove (triceps) will return from the injured list to start Sunday’s series finale against the Braves.

Advice: Musgrove has been sidelined since May 5 due to triceps tendinitis. He has made remarkable progress this week though — so much so that the Padres felt he didn’t even need a minor league rehab start. Fantasy managers may want to take a wait-and-see approach before throwing him back out there in lineups though. Prior to landing on the injured list, Musgrove had posted a 6.37 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and a 36/13 K/BB ratio across 41 innings in his first eight starts. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:05 pm
