    • Corbin Burnes fans 11 in defeating Mariners
Corbin Burnes fanned 11 while allowing one run in six innings Sunday as the Orioles bested the Mariners 6-3.

Advice: Burnes matched his season-high for strikeouts; he also fanned 11 on Opening Day. Oddly, he hasn’t struck out more than six in any of his other eight starts. Still, he’s been plenty successful in amassing a 2.56 ERA to date. The win today was his first since April 20. Rotoworld Today, 1:54 pm

    • Jordan Romano nails down seventh save
Jordan Romano struck out the only batter he faced on Sunday to earn the save.

Advice: Romano came on for the last out of the game after Zach Pop allowed a two-run homer to Isaac Paredes and closed the door. Strikeouts have lagged for Romano since returning from the IL and his hold on the closer role could become shaky with Yimi Garcia’s breakout. Rotoworld Today, 1:42 pm
    • Rafael Devers homers in fifth straight game
Rafael Devers homered in a fifth straight game Sunday against the Cardinals.

Advice: He took Ryan Fernandez deep in the sixth inning today. Devers had four homers in 31 games this season before this stretch. He’s also now working on a nine-game hitting streak, though he’s totaled just 11 hits in that span. His average is actually lower now (.285) than it was two weeks ago. His .555 slugging percentage is vastly improved, though. Rotoworld Today, 1:28 pm

    • Tyler O’Neill homers, scores three times
Tyler O’Neill went 2-for-3 with a homer, two walks and three runs scored Sunday against the Cardinals.

Advice: O’Neill went 4-for-12 in his first series against his former team. The homer today was a solo shot, as nine of his 11 have been. He’s just 4-for-27 this season with RISP, which is how he’s totaled only 17 RBI to go along with the 11 homers in 37 games. Rotoworld Today, 1:28 pm

    • Tanner Bibee stellar across seven innings
Tanner Bibee struck out eight over seven innings in the Guardians’ 5-2 win over the Twins on Sunday. He scattered four hits, walked one, and allowed one earned run in a no-decision.

Advice: Bibee has struggled relative to expectations out of the gate this season but he was fantastic on Sunday. A José Miranda home run was the only blemish on his ledger as he kept the Twins off-balance all afternoon with a heavy diet of his signature slider. His average fastball velocity also trickled up to 96 MPH, his highest by a full tick in any start this season. Rotoworld Today, 1:17 pm

    • Makes impact late in win
Lowe went 0-for-4 with two RBI in Saturday's 3-2 extra-innings win over the Angels.

Advice: Lowe, who is hitless over his last 13 at-bats, was the late-game hero for the Rangers. He set up extra innings with an run-producing, eighth-inning sacrifice fly, then Lowe was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 13th for the walk-off win. The two RBI give him 14 over 26 games. Rotowire.com Today, 7:07 am

    • Provides offense Saturday
Morel went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Saturday's 1-0 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Morel's line drive to center in the bottom of the ninth inning brought in Cody Bellinger with the game-winning run. It was a nice effort for Morel, who's been productive this month despite batting just .220 in May. The production has come mostly in the power department, as the 24-year-old has five home runs this month across 17 games. Morel came into May with four long balls over his first 29 contests. • Crumbles in fifth frame Saturday
Verlander (2-2) took the loss against Milwaukee on Saturday, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three batters over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Verlander made it through four innings without giving up a run, but things fell apart for him in the fifth. In that frame, he put the first three batters on base via a single and two walks before allowing his first run on a sacrifice fly. Verlander got another out to nearly escape the jam without further damage, but William Contreras sent him to the showers with a three-run blast to center field. Verlander was coming off his best start of the season with seven scoreless innings against Detroit his last time out, though that was preceded by a seven-run, five-inning blowup against the Yankees his previous trip to the mound. He'll try to get back on the right track in his next appearance, which is tentatively lined up to take place in Oakland. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:41 pm
    • Swinging hot bat
Devers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Devers has homered in four straight games, giving him eight long balls on the year. The third baseman took Miles Mikolas deep in the fourth inning Saturday. Devers is batting .294 (10-for-34) with seven extra-base hits and seven RBI during his eight-game hitting streak. He's up to a .284/.381/.537 slash line through 36 contests this season.
