    • On base three times in loss
Guerrero went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 8-1 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: The first baseman continues to make consistent hard contact. Guerrero hasn't gone two straight games without a hit since late April, and over his last 30 contests he's slashing .368/.452/.479. He's still not providing the power expected of him and has just seven doubles and two homers during that stretch, and while he's in the 98th percentile in average exit velocity at 94.2 mph and 99th percentile in hard-hit rate this season, an average launch angle of 6.1 degrees -- down from 10.5 degrees last year -- is limiting his fantasy production. • Ezequiel Tovar tallies three more hits in loss
Ezequiel Tovar went 3-for-4 with a double on Saturday in the Rockies’ loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Tovar notched his second consecutive three-hit performance to raise his batting average to .302 (71-for-235) with eight homers and four steals through 56 contests. The 22-year-old shortstop has been an unexpected batting average booster this season and wound up leading the National League with 16 extra-base hits during the month of May. That’ll do. • Cal Quantrill takes first loss since April 27
Cal Quantrill allowed four runs over 4 1/3 innings on Saturday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Quantrill was saddled with his first loss since April 27 when Los Angeles got to him for nine hits during Saturday’s showdown at Dodger Stadium. He finished with only one strikeout and handed out a pair of free passes. The 29-year-old righty has unexpectedly excelled in his Rockies debut this season, but isn’t exactly a relevant fantasy option due to his lack of significant strikeout upside. There’s some streaming appeal away from Coors Field in deeper mixed leagues as he holds a respectable 3.84 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 50/25 K/BB ratio across 68 innings (12 starts). He’s been a nice find for Colorado’s front office. He’ll square off against the Cardinals on Thursday at Busch Stadium in his next outing. Rotoworld Today, 3:41 am
    • Falls to Dodgers
Quantrill (4-4) allowed four runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out one over 4.1 innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Dodgers.

Advice: Quantrill had logged five straight quality starts, but this was always going to be a tough matchup, even away from Coors Field. The Dodgers got to him for two runs in the second inning and never looked back. Quantrill has still put together a respectable first season with the Rockies, posting a 3.84 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 50:25 K:BB over 68 innings across 12 starts. His 3.3 BB/9 is still a holdover concern from last year, and he'll never be one to strike out a lot of batters, but he's generally been reliable. Quantrill's next start is projected to be at St. Louis. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:26 pm
    • Belts 19th long ball
Tucker went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run and a walk in a 5-2 win against the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Tucker hit one of four homers against Minnesota starter Joe Ryan with a solo shot in the third inning. It was the 19th long ball of the campaign for the outfielder, second in the majors behind Aaron Judge (21). Tucker is easily on pace to surpass the career-best mark of 30 homers he established in both 2021 and 2022. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:32 pm
    • Robert Gasser gives up two homers, three runs
Robert Gasser gave up three runs in five innings while not factoring into the decision Saturday against the White Sox.

Advice: Gasser gave up seven hits — two of those homers — while striking out three and not issuing a walk. It’s a bit of a disappointing effort considering how bad Chicago’s lineup is, but credit to the 25-year-old for limiting the damage to just the roundtrippers. He’ll have a chance to lower his 2.57 ERA against the Tigers next weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:18 pm

    • Allows three runs vs. White Sox
Gasser didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out three in five innings.

Advice: All three of the runs against Gasser came via the home run ball Saturday -- an Andrew Benintendi solo shot in the third inning followed by a two-run blast off the bat of Gavin Sheets in the fourth. It's just the second time in five starts that Gasser's allowed more than one run. Overall, the left-hander is 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 16 strikeouts while issuing just one walk through his first 28 innings. Gasser is currently lined up for a road matchup with the Tigers in his next outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:07 pm

    • Kyle Tucker homers and walks against Twins
Kyle Tucker homered and walked in a victory for the Astros over the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Tucker also drew a walk. The 27-year-old is already up to 19 homers on the season with a .976 OPS to pair with them. Even with the Astros having a disappointing 2024 campaign, Tucker has been as good as he’s ever been over the first two-plus months of the campaign. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:03 pm
    • Ozuna hits 17th home run in loss Saturday
Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-5 with two runs scored, a home run and four RBI against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: The home run was Ozuna’s 17th of the season. Only Aaron Judge, Kyle Tucker and Gunnar Henderson have more. Only Jose Ramirez has more than Ozuna’s 53 RBI this year. The 33-year-old designated hitter is having the best season of his career at the plate. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:47 pm
