    • Returns from bruised elbow
Megill (elbow) threw a perfect inning while striking out three Saturday against the White Sox.

Advice: Megill appeared in the seventh inning in a tied game. Megill was struck on the right elbow by a comebacker in Tuesday's loss to the Cubs. X-rays came back negative, but he still needed a few days off. It looks like he's back to full speed and should step back into the closer mix despite appearing earlier in the game Saturday. • Solid in fourth straight win
Lively (5-2) earned the win against the Nationals on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Lively fired three scoreless frames before allowing two runs in the fourth inning, and he left the game just shy of a quality start after allowing a two-out single to Lane Thomas in the sixth. This was Lively's fourth win in as many games, and he has not allowed more than three runs in any of his nine starts this season. Lively will take a 2.84 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 47:15 K:BB into a road matchup against the Marlins next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:31 pm

    • Converts 18th save
Clase earned a save against the Nationals on Saturday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

Advice: Tasked with preserving a 3-2 lead in the ninth inning, Clase needed only eight pitches to secure his 18th save of the season. The save tied him with Ryan Helsley of the Cardinals for the league lead, and he now boasts a ridiculous 0.31 ERA, 0.61 WHIP and 29:2 K:BB over 29.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:26 pm
    • Strikes out 11 in loss
Weathers (3-5) took the loss to the Rangers on Saturday, allowing four runs on nine hits and no walks with 11 strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Weathers opened with two scoreless frames before allowing two runs in both the third and fourth innings. Weathers struck out the side in his sixth and final inning to finish with a season-high 11 strikeouts, but nine hits allowed represent his highest total in 2024. Through 12 starts, Weathers has posted a 3.41 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 64:20 K:BB and tentatively lines up for a home matchup against the Guardians next weekend Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:53 pm
    • Ryan Weathers whiffs 11 in loss to Rangers
Ryan Weathers struck out 11 but allowed four runs over six innings in a loss to the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: The 11 strikeouts are a season-high for Weathers, and it’s the second time he’s reached double digits in 2024. The punchouts are nice, but he also allowed nine hits and four runs, so this was a mixed effort at best from the 24-year-old. Still, it’s nice to see some flashes of what Made Weathers the seventh pick of the 2018 MLB Draft. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:08 pm
    • Emmanuel Clase locks down 18th save
Emmanuel Clase tossed a perfect ninth inning to earn the save against the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: Clase was summoned in the ninth inning to close it out with a one-run lead over the Nationals. He slammed the door quickly, needing only eight pitches to secure the win and lock down his 18th save of the season. The 26-year-old right-hander has allowed just one run with a 29/2 K/BB ratio across 29 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:47 pm
    • Ben Lively earns fifth win Saturday vs. Nats
Ben Lively allowed two runs with four strikeouts across 5 2/3 innings in a win over the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: Lively worked through three scoreless innings before the Nationals brought two runs in to score in the fourth. After walking a batter with one out, Tyler Freeman misplayed a routine fly ball to put runners on second and third with one out instead of two outs and a runner on first. A groundout and a base hit would bring the two runs in to score. Lively would work a clean fifth and gave up a base hit with two outs in the sixth. That would end his day at 86 pitches -- 62 for strikes. He struck out four. The 32-year-old right-hander will take a 2.84 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and a 47/15 K/BB ratio across 50 2/3 innings into a start against the Marlins in Miami on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:46 pm

    • Trevor Megill (elbow) returns to action Saturday
Trevor Megill (elbow) returned to action on Saturday and looked no worse for the wear, striking out all three batters that he faced in a scoreless inning against the White Sox.

Advice: It wasn’t a save chance, as it was the seventh inning of a game where the Brewers trailed 3-1, but it was nice to see Megill look as dominant as ever after taking a scary line drive off of his arm during Monday’s game. He needed just 14 pitches (nine strikes) to dispatch of Zach Remillard, Tommy Pham and Korey Lee in order. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:15 pm
    • Eyeing Wednesday return
Singer (illness) is feeling better but still needs a few days to recover strength, potentially slotting in to start Wednesday in Cleveland according to manager Matt Quatraro, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Singer was scratched from his last scheduled start Thursday versus the Twins due to an illness, but he now appears to be on track to return to the mound relatively soon. The right-hander is in the midst of a career year with Kansas City, producing a 2.63 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 64 strikeouts over 61.2 innings in his first 11 starts of 2024.
