• Homers again in loss
Harper went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a 4-1 loss to the Tigers on Tuesday.

Advice: Harper provided the only offense for the Phillies, hitting a solo home run off Jason Foley in the ninth inning. It was the slugger's second consecutive day with a home run, and he has now gone a ridiculous 20-for-43 with five homers, 11 RBI and 13 runs scored over a current 10-game hitting streak. On the season, he is hitting .306 with 20 home runs, 57 RBI and 52 runs scored through 278 at-bats. Rotowire.com 16 minutes ago

  • Bryce Harper crushes 20th homer in loss to Tigers
Bryce Harper went 2-for-4 with his 20th home run of the season on Tuesday in the Phillies’ loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Harper broke up a potential shutout with a ninth-inning blast against Tigers stopper Jason Foley with the Phillies trailing by four runs at the time. It may have been a garbage-time round-tripper, but fantasy managers certainly won’t complain. The 31-year-old fantasy superstar has gone deep five times over his last six contests and is up to 20 big flies on the year already. If he stays healthy, Harper has a realistic shot at surpassing his previous career-high mark (42) in the home run department, which he set all the way back in 2015. Rotoworld Today, 5:51 pm

  • Progressing in baseball activities
Carpenter (back) took swings off a tee Monday and participated in throwing/running drills Tuesday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down in late May due to a lumbar spine stress fracture, but he's now back to taking part in baseball activities. Carpenter still has significant rehab work to do before being ready for game action, and he'll likely require a minor-league rehab assignment before rejoining the Tigers. Rotowire.com Today, 2:04 pm

  • Ben Rice sitting Tuesday against southpaw
Ben Rice is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Mets.

Advice: Rice takes a seat on New York’s bench with Mets southpaw David Peterson toeing the rubber. It’ll be newly-acquired veteran J.D. Davis drawing his first start at the cold corner on Tuesday night in his place. The 25-year-old prospect is batting .294 (5-for-17) with one RBI in 21 plate appearances over six games since getting the call to the majors last week. Rotoworld Today, 1:32 pm

  • Idle against lefty
Rice is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets.

Advice: With J.D. Davis joining the Yankees roster, Rice is expected to enter the strong side of a platoon with Davis at first base. Rice will take a seat Tuesday for the first time since being called up June 18 as the Mets trot out southpaw David Peterson. Rotowire.com Today, 1:11 pm

  • Back in lineup
Arenado (forearm) is playing third base and batting sixth Tuesday against Atlanta.

Advice: Arenado missed a pair of games with left forearm soreness, but he's back in the starting nine for Tuesday's contest. Prior to the injury, Arenado was batting 17-for-66 (.258) in June with six RBI and four runs. Rotowire.com Today, 12:10 pm

  • Nolan Arenado returns on Tuesday vs. Braves
Nolan Arenado (forearm) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Braves.

Advice: Arenado missed two consecutive games while dealing with a nerve issue in his left forearm. The 33-year-old is back in action, but he was moved down to sixth in the lineup. Brandon Crawford retreats to the bench with Arenado back in the fold. Rotoworld Today, 12:00 pm

  • Forced to IL with blister issue
The Reds placed Lodolo on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a left finger blister.

Advice: Lodolo battled the blister issue during his start this past Sunday against the Red Sox, and the Reds have opted to give the left-hander some down time in order to let the finger heal. He had been slated to start Friday in St. Louis, but the Reds will now need a substitute. Graham Ashcraft has pitched well in two starts since being demoted to Triple-A Louisville, so he's a candidate to take Lodolo's spot. Rotowire.com Today, 9:39 am

  • Reds place Nick Lodolo on IL with finger blister
Reds placed LHP Nick Lodolo on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 24, with a left finger blister.

Advice: Lodolo was ineffective against the Red Sox on Sunday, and it’s possible the blister had something to do with the issue. He’ll be out of action for a couple of weeks, and it seems likely that Graham Ashcraft will take his spot in the rotation. In the meantime, Yosver Zulueta is up to take Lodolo’s spot on the roster. Assuming a normal recovery time, it’s reasonable to expect Lodolo back before the All-Star break. Rotoworld Today, 9:39 am
