    • Corey Seager homers in loss to Phillies
Corey Seager went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a loss to the Phillies on Tuesday.

Advice: Seager crushed an offering from Jeff Hoffman 103.3 mph off the bat and 380 feet for his seventh home run of the year. It was also his 5th home run in 18 games in May as the power is starting to show up. However, Seager also had four strike outs on Tuesday and is still hitting just .246/.335/.383 on the season. The power surge is encouraging and hopefully it will lead to a full-on hot streak in the coming weeks. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago

    • Goes three innings in return
Musgrove (3-4) took the loss Tuesday against the Reds, allowing two unearned runs on three hits and two walks over three innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Musgrove appeared a bit rusty in his first start since May 1, ultimately needing 66 pitches to make it through three innings -- he'd allow a pair of unearned runs after an errant pickoff throw in the second. Overall, the 31-year-old Musgrove sports a 5.93 ERA with a 1.52 WHIP and 39:15 K:BB across nine starts (44 innings) this season. He'll look to go deeper in his next outing, currently scheduled for Sunday at home against the Yankees. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago
    • Joe Musgrove goes three innings in return from IL
Joe Musgrove allowed two runs (zero earned) on three hits in three innings in a loss to the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: The Padres said this start was just about getting Musgrove on the mound against live hitters after missing time with a triceps injury. The veteran’s velocity was in line with his season-long numbers, which is good in his first start off the IL, and he posted an impressive 35 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW in his three innings. Overall, it was a solid first effort back but things just get tougher this weekend against the Yankees. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago
    • Turner accounts for one of two Blue Jays’ hits
Justin Turner went 1-for-3 with a double in the Blue Jays’ loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Turner ended a seven-game hitless streak in this one, but he and the Jays struggled to get the offense going. Toronto managed just two hits and a walk on the evening while striking out nine times as a team. Turner, who hit .300 through the first month of the season, is hitting a dismal .085 in the month of May, going 4-for-47 at the plate. As is the case with many in this lineup, Turner is nearly impossible to trust in fantasy lineups until he can kick this slump. Rotoworld 36 minutes ago

    • Padres activate Joe Musgrove for start vs. Reds
Padres activated RHP Joe Musgrove from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Musgrove returns from a two-week stint on the injured list due to triceps tendinitis to take the ball for Tuesday’s series opener against the Reds. The 31-year-old righty has compiled a lackluster 6.37 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 36/13 K/BB ratio across 41 innings (eight starts) prior to hitting the shelf. Rotoworld Today, 1:21 pm
    • Hits on field, runs at 80 percent
Turner (hamstring) hit on the field and ran at 80 percent effort level Tuesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Turner has ramped up his workouts over the last week and has not reported any soreness in his left hamstring. The Phillies have been encouraged by Turner's progress, but they insist he won't be rushed and have not offered an amendment of the shortstop's initial six-week timetable. However, Friday will be just the three-week mark of the injury, so it sure seems as though Turner is ahead of schedule. Rotowire.com Today, 1:20 pm

    • Trea Turner (hamstring) continues progressing
Trea Turner (hamstring) progressed to on-field hitting and ran at 80 percent on Tuesday.

Advice: Turner hasn’t experienced any soreness or setbacks as he steadily ramps up baseball activities in his recovery from a left hamstring strain. The 30-year-old shortstop isn’t being intentionally rushed back, but he’s making swift progress and could return in a couple weeks, if not sooner. Rotoworld Today, 1:15 pm

    • Active and confirmed to start
Musgrove (elbow) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list and will start Tuesday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Musgrove has been sidelined since May 1 with elbow inflammation in his throwing arm and was initially expected to pitch Sunday, though those plans were derailed after Saturday's contest was postponed. Considering he didn't go on a rehab assignment, it's unclear if Musgrove is fully stretched out; however, he should be close to full strength against Cincinnati. Musgrove owns a 6.37 ERA across 41.0 innings this season. Rotowire.com Today, 1:05 pm
    • Hammers out four hits Monday
Bichette went 4-for-4 with three doubles, a run scored and an RBI in Monday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: Batting cleanup against righty Erick Fedde, Bichette scorched the ball all afternoon, and his final two doubles left his bat with exit velocities of 110.4 mph and 105.8 mph. After a tough start to 2024, the shortstop is catching fire at the plate, recording three multi-hit performances in his last six games and slashing .368/.429/.553 over his last 10 contests.
