    • Collects three hits Monday
Rojas went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs and an RBI against the Rockies in Monday's 9-5 victory.

Advice: With Mookie Betts going down with a fractured left hand Sunday and set to miss several weeks, Rojas appears primed for a near-everyday role at shortstop. He did his best Betts impression Monday, notching three hits for the third time this season and scoring twice. Naturally, fantasy managers shouldn't expect Rojas to come anywhere near Betts' level of production, though the former Miami Marlin is having a solid season at the dish with a .292/.339/.460 slash line, three homers, 10 doubles, 15 RBI, 15 runs and three stolen bases through 121 plate appearances. • Belts homer in loss
Busch went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk against the Giants in Monday's loss.

Advice: Busch gave Chicago its first lead with a two-run blast to center field in the sixth inning. It was his first long ball over his past 17 contests and just his second across his past 32 games. Busch began the campaign with six homers through 16 contests, so the fact that he's still yet to reach double digits in that category emphasizes the extent to which he's slowed down. Still, the first baseman has been hitting well lately, batting .370 over his past 27 at-bats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:47 pm

    • Rengifo comes off bench day after wrist injury
Luis Rengifo came off the bench and struck out as a pinch-hitter Monday against the Brewers.

Advice: He then remained in to play two innings at third base. Rengifo didn’t start because of a wrist injury suffered Sunday, but it seems like he’ll be fine. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:01 pm

    • Miguel Rojas goes 3-for-5 in Dodgers’ victory
Miguel Rojas went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Sure, Jazz Chisholm Jr. doesn’t seem to like him, but how badly did the Marlins botch things by trading Rojas for a prospect they didn’t even want a year and a half ago? Rojas is batting .292/.339/.460 in 121 plate appearances this season, and he’ll serve as the Dodgers’ primary shortstop while Mookie Betts is out. Meanwhile, the Marlins continue to roll with Tim Anderson, who might be the very worst player in the league. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:08 pm

    • Report: A’s designating J.D. Davis for assignment
The A’s have decided to cut J.D. Davis, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

Advice: This is the move to make room for Lawrence Butler. We’re hard-pressed to see how Davis is worse than Seth Brown or even Abraham Toro, who has been pretty terrible since the A’s decided to make him their leadoff man. Still, none of this really matters — none of these guys are going to be part of the next competitive A’s team — but Davis might help someone else down the stretch. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:31 pm

    • Picks up three hits, stolen base
De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: De La Cruz produced his fifth three-hit effort of the season Monday. He has multi-hit games in three of his last four and a stolen base in three straight contests. The 22-year-old now has 37 steals through 72 games this season, which puts him on pace to reach 80 thefts by the end of the campaign. The speedster carries a .242/.340/.447 slash line with 12 home runs and 31 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:21 pm
    • Goes deep in loss
Turner went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double, two runs scored and a walk in Monday's loss to Boston.

Advice: Turner scored Toronto's first run after drawing a walk in the second inning. He later ripped a solo shot in the sixth inning for his fifth home run of the year. He snapped a 33-game homerless drought, during which he slashed .155/.250/.191. Turner now owns a .691 OPS with 18 extra-base hits and 24 runs scored through 233 plate appearances. • Elly De La Cruz collects 37th steal in Reds’ loss
Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with his 37th stolen base of the season on Monday in the Reds’ loss to the Pirates.

Advice: De La Cruz was one of the few bright spots in this one as Cincinnati’s offense was almost completely shut down by Pirates rookie ace Paul Skenes into the late innings of the first meeting between the two division rivals this year. The 22-year-old middle infielder remains on pace to steal roughly 80 bases this season as he’s picked it up on the bases recently, notching at least one theft in three straight contests. • Riley smacks two doubles in win over Tigers Monday
Austin Riley went 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run scored against the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: Riley is now 8-for-13 (.615) with three doubles, three home runs, eight RBI and two walks over his last four games. He’s had a down season so far, but seems to be pulling out of it. Riley’s average is up to .243 with a .712 OPS on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:59 pm
