      Christian Yelich went 5-for-6, drove in five runs and stole a base in a 12-5 win over the White Sox on Friday.

      Advice: The Brew Crew were able to pick up 23 hits and six walks against the overmatched White Sox. Yelich was responsible for nearly a quarter of those, and two of them were double, giving him six on the season. The steal was the eighth, and Yelich continues to impress when on the field in 2024 with a .325/.406/.564 slash. It’s fun to see a the MVP version of Yelich thus far.     • Dylan Cease surrenders three runs to Royals
      Dylan Cease allowed three runs over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Royals on Friday.

      Advice: Cease was pretty great to begin the year, posting a 2.19 ERA in his first eight starts, but this makes four straight outings that have missed the quality-start threshold.       Jake Burger went 3-for-5 with a couple of runs scored Friday in the win over the Rangers.

      Advice: Burger came into the night with a hideous .240 OBP, but the Marlins still had him hitting second in their lineup. Perhaps he’s starting to pull out of his slump; he has seven hits in his last three games, raising his average from .189 to .218. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:02 pm

    • Luis Robert Jr. (hip) expected to return next week
      Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun Times believes that Luis Robert Jr. (hip) will return to the White Sox’ lineup on Tuesday.

      Advice: The 26-year-old superstar is currently on a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Charlotte, where he received a planned day off on Thursday.       Gelof went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in an extra-innings loss to the Rays on Thursday.

      Advice: Gelof snapped an 0-for-18 slump with a single, while his steal was his fifth of the season but first since April 21. Last season's encouraging rookie campaign is increasingly in the rearview mirror for Gelof, who's now sitting on a .176 batting average and .512 OPS across 162 plate appearances. A significant season-over-season increase in strikeout rate (27.3 percent to 34.6 percent) and a notable decrease in line-drive rate (25.5 percent to 16.5 percent) have contributed to a steep drop in his BABIP (.331 to .258).       Rizzo isn't in the Yankees' lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels.

      Advice: Chourio had started each of the previous three games, but two of those starts came while the Cubs sent left-handers Justin Steele and Shota Imanaga to the mound. The rookie outfielder will hit the bench Thursday against right-hander Jameson Taillon and still looks to be stuck in a short-side platoon role in the corner outfield with Sal Frelick.       Advice: It’s most likely just a typical rest day for Chourio. The rookie’s overall slash line is not impressive, but there are some signs of life. His seven steals and five home runs have been a help to fantasy managers and he cut his strikeout rate from 32 percent in April to just 19 percent in May.
