    • Begins rehab assignment
      Jung (wrist) started at third base and went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

      Advice: Jung kicked off a rehab assignment for the Express and played five innings in the field. Texas manager Bruce Bochy previously targeted Jung for 30 at-bats before returning to the major leagues, but the manager acknowledged Sunday to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com that it's a fluid situation. "We'll kind of monitor how things are going with him, the at-bats, how his body is bouncing back," Bochy said. "But we don't have a specific number."     • Rafael Devers plates two as Red Sox top Yankees
      Rafael Devers went 1-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs on Sunday night as the Red Sox triumphed over the Yankees.

      Advice: Devers delivered a sacrifice fly off of Marcus Stroman in the fourth inning that extended the Red Sox’ early lead to 4-1. He then added a valuable insurance run in the seventh with an RBI single that plated Jarren Duran to make it a 5-3 game. Devers then raced around to score on Connor Wong’s two-run triple.       Lindor went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and two runs in Sunday's 11-6 win over the Padres.

      Advice: On the third pitch he saw, Lindor took Dylan Cease deep for his first leadoff homer since 2019. It was his 12th home run this season and the third in his last nine games. Lindor has been on a steady climb for about a month now with an average of .303 over his last 25 games.       Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored against the Guardians on Sunday.



      Advice: Guerrero was 1-for-17 (.059) with one walk in his last five games. While the three hits were good to see, his power is still a concern. Guerrero’s .122 ISO is a career-low and with seven home runs so far he’s going to have to pick up the pace to even repeat the 26 home runs he hit last season.

      Jung (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

      Advice: Jung, who suffered a fractured right wrist early in the season, resumed swinging the bat in late May and progressed to live batting practice earlier this week. He's now ready for game action, which puts a return to the Rangers before the end of the month very much on the table.       Vierling went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 13-5 win over the Astros.

      Advice: Vierling has homered twice over his last four contests, though both were solo shots that represent his only RBI since May 29. The outfielder is batting a modest .196 (10-for-51) over 12 contests in June, though he's still often hitting in the top third of the Tigers' lineup.       Freddie Freeman singled in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning to give the Dodgers a 4-3 win over the Royals on Friday.

      Advice: With the score tied at 3-3, Freeman drove in a run with an RBI single to give the Dodgers a 4-3 lead and ultimately the victory. The 34-year-old has now driven in 42 runs, and nine of those have come in the first half of June.
