    • Set to start Wednesday
Contreras will start Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The right-hander was acquired from the Pirates in made and has worked out of the bullpen for his first nine appearances for the Halos. Contreras has pitched to a 3.29 ERA and 0.95 WHIP over 13.2 innings with Anaheim, and he could provide some decent length given that he delivered 47 pitches during his outing last week versus Milwaukee. • Ryan Borucki (triceps) starts rehab assignment
Ryan Borucki (triceps) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: Borucki has been out since early April due to triceps inflammation, but should be ready to return at some point next month. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • Activated, optioned to Triple-A
The Angels reinstated Silseth (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday and optioned him to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Advice: Silseth has allowed 14 earned runs at Triple-A across just 12.1 innings over three starts since beginning his rehab assignment. Although he seems to have made a full recovery from the elbow injury that forced him onto the IL in April, his poor performance will keep him in the minors for the time being. If the 24-year-old righty is able to right the ship, he may be able to reclaim a spot in Los Angeles' rotation. Rotowire.com 53 minutes ago

    • Hoby Milner draws first career start on Tuesday
Hoby Milner will serve as the Brewers’ opener for Tuesday’s game against the Rangers.

Advice: This is pretty cool. Milner will make his first career start, technically, on Tuesday night after 269 relief appearances in the big leagues since 2017. It’ll be Bryse Wilson following him for a bulk relief outing afterwards. Rotoworld 59 minutes ago

    • Opening Tuesday
Milner will start Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The left-hander will make the first start of his MLB career Tuesday before turning things over to primary pitcher Bryse Wilson after an inning or two. Milner has struggled in his past six outings with nine earned runs allowed after he posted a 2.87 ERA in his first 30 appearances of the campaign. Rotowire.com Today, 2:44 pm

    • Following opener Tuesday
Wilson will pitch behind opener Hoby Milner against the Rangers on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Wilson was scheduled to start Tuesday's contest but will instead follow a lefty opener. The right-hander has failed to last five frames in five of his past eight outings, so the strategy could improve his chances of qualifying for a victory. However, Wilson has a 5.68 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 28:16 K:BB during that eight-start stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 2:41 pm

    • Angels activate and option Chase Silseth
Angels activated RHP Chase Silseth from the 60-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Advice: Silseth has struggled in a handful of minor league rehab starts over the last few weeks and will get some additional time out of the spotlight in the minors to continue ironing things out. The 24-year-old showed some extremely promising signs during spring training, but struggled in a pair of early-season starts prior to landing on the shelf with elbow inflammation. • Brewers summon reliever Joel Kuhnel on Tuesday
Brewers selected the contract of RHP Joel Kuhnel from Triple-A Nashville.

Advice: Kuhnel will probably only be with Milwaukee for a couple days until veteran southpaw Dallas Keuchel reports following a trade from Seattle. The 29-year-old righty latched on with the Brewers earlier this month following his removal from Toronto’s 40-man roster. He’s made just one relief appearance this season in the big leagues, which was back in mid-April when he was with the Astros. Rotoworld Today, 2:28 pm

    • Contract selected
The Brewers selected Kuhnel's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kuhnel signed a minor-league deal with Milwaukee on June 11, and he'll now get another shot in the majors after giving up two earned runs while striking out eight batters and walking three through five innings with Nashville. Although the 29-year-old right-hander has found success in the minors this season across the three organizations he's been a part of, his 6.30 career ERA in the majors will likely limit him to low-leverage situations while with the Brewers. Carlos F. Rodriguez was optioned to Triple-A to clear space for Kuhnel on the active roster, and Robert Gasser (elbow) was moved to the 60-day IL to free up a 40-man spot. Rotowire.com Today, 2:22 pm
