    • Homers in each game of twin bill
Ozuna went 3-for-7 with two solo homers, an additional run, a double and a walk across both games of Monday's doubleheader versus the Padres.

Advice: Ozuna came into Monday without a homer over his past eight contests, but he snapped that drought with a solo shot in each game of the doubleheader. The slugger simultaneously extended his hitting streak to 13 games, during which he's batting an even .400 with five long balls, three doubles and 11 RBI. Ozuna ranks third in MLB with 14 homers on the campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:13 pm

    • Slugs grand slam in win
Freeman went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The homer was Freeman's first since May 11 and his third in May. He gave the Dodgers the lead in the third inning, and they never looked back. Freeman is up to five long balls, 29 RBI, 31 runs scored, one stolen base and a .298/.409/.464 slash line through 50 contests. He's not hitting for as much power as he did last year, when he racked up 29 homers, 59 doubles and a .567 slugging percentage, but there's little to complain about from what the first baseman's provided so far in 2024. • Worst start of season versus Angels
Valdez (3-2) allowed eight runs on 10 hits and a walk while striking out three over five innings to take the loss Monday versus the Angels.

Advice: Valdez followed up his start of seven shutout innings versus the Athletics with a dud Monday. He was doing fine until the Angels rallied for seven runs in the fifth, including three-run home runs by Nolan Schanuel and Logan O'Hoppe and a solo shot from Jo Adell. Valdez is now at a 4.32 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 34:12 K:BB through 41.2 innings over seven starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road in Seattle. • Two steals in win
Rengifo went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases in Monday's 9-7 win over the Astros.

Advice: Rengifo has gone 4-for-18 with three steals, one RBI and two extra-base hits over four contests since he returned from an illness. The infielder is slashing .312/.364/.450 with two home runs, 12 RBI, 15 runs scored and 12 thefts through 32 games this season. Rengifo's running far more this season, and his defensive utility gives him some extra upside in fantasy even if it's unlikely he maintains his steady hitting. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:30 pm

    • Freddie Freeman delivers grand slam in victory
Freddie Freeman went 2-for-4 and hit a grand slam Monday as the Dodgers down the Diamondbacks 6-4.

Advice: The Dodgers scored all of their runs in the third, an inning that also featured homers from Kiké Hernandez and Will Smith. Freeman’s slam was the sixth of his career. He actually went his first 10 seasons without one, but he’s been playing catchup after finally collecting his first in Sept. 2020. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:23 pm
    • Goes four innings Monday
Detmers allowed six runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out three over four innings in a no-decision versus the Astros on Monday.

Advice: Detmers' run of poor pitching continued. Five of the six runs came on home runs by Jose Altuve and Mauricio Dubon. Detmers has allowed at least four runs in each of his last six starts, and this was the fourth time in that span he's surrendered multiple homers. The southpaw has an ugly 5.80 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 59:19 K:BB through 54.1 innings across 10 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Guardians. • Reid Detmers tagged for six runs by Astros
Reid Detmers surrendered six runs in four innings Monday in a no-decision versus the Astros.

Advice: Victimized by a couple of infield singles, Detmers was unfortunate not to be out of the inning before José Altuve hit a three-run homer in the second. Still, this was another disappointing outing for the 24-year-old, who has given up 32 earned runs over 31 2/3 innings in his last six starts. We still believe in Detmers as a useful mixed-league option, what with his 59/19 K/BB ratio in 54 1/3 innings this season, but he certainly doesn’t make it easy. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:24 pm

    • Framber Valdez gives up three fifth-inning homers
Framber Valdez was pounded for eight runs and three homers in five innings by the Angels in Monday’s loss.

Advice: Valdez allowed just one run on four groundball singles through four innings tonight, but the fifth was a vastly different story. All three homers came in that inning, and it was really pretty amazing that he got to finish the frame while allowing seven runs. Valdez had a 2.88 ERA going into the fifth tonight, only to finish the game at 4.32. It’s the first time in his career that he’s allowed three homers and the second time that he’s allowed eight runs, with the other instance also coming against the Angels in 2020. • Luis Rengifo swipes two bags against Astros
Luis Rengifo had two hits and two steals against the Astros on Monday.

Advice: The second steal saw him jam his left hand into second base, leaving him with an injured middle finger in spite of the oven mitt he was wearing. He was in a lot of pain at first, but he was able to finish the game afterwards. Still, if he’s not in Tuesday’s lineup, this is probably the reason. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:24 pm
