    • Likely to rejoin lineup Tuesday
Red Sox manager Alex Cora suggested Sunday that he expects Devers (knee) to be back in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener versus the Phillies, MLB.com reports. "He's OK," Cora said of Devers prior to Sunday's 6-4 extra-inning over the White Sox. "Hopefully one day [off], [then Monday's team off day] and be ready for Tuesday. If he feels like he's banged up, giving him a day will benefit him."

Advice: Devers was lifted in the eighth inning of Saturday's 6-1 loss to Chicago after Cora said that the the third baseman's left knee was bothering him when he was getting ready to swing in the batter's box. Though Devers likely could have played Sunday if necessary, the Red Sox might have chosen to err on the side of caution and hold him out of the lineup after he had previously dealt with a bone bruise in the same knee in April that cost him five starts. After getting Sunday and Monday off, Devers should be ready to go for the three-game series with the Phillies, but fantasy managers may still want to confirm that he's starting Tuesday before locking him into lineups. • Rafael Devers (knee) out Sunday against White Sox
Rafael Devers (knee) is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the White Sox.

Advice: Devers was removed Saturday due to soreness in his knee, and it’s been a lingering issue for the 27-year-old slugger. He’ll get a day off Sunday with Bobby Dalbec getting the start at the hot corner and hitting seventh. Rotoworld Sunday, 10:35 am

    • Sitting with hamstring issue
Chapman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers due to a hamstring cramp, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: The 31-year-old felt the cramp during Saturday's contest and will receive Sunday off. Casey Schmitt will take over at third base for the Giants, while Chapman should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener versus the Astros. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:17 am

    • Matt Chapman out Sunday due to hamstring cramp
Matt Chapman is not in the lineup Sunday against the Rangers to a hamstring cramp.

Advice: Giants manager Bob Melvin told reporters before Sunday’s game that the infielder felt his hamstring cramp on a diving attempt in the ninth inning. Melvin also believed that this is a short-term issue that won’t cause the third baseman to miss more than a game. Brett Wisely is getting the start at third in Chapman’s absence. • Matt Chapman not in lineup Sunday vs. Rangers
Matt Chapman is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s contest against the Rangers.

Advice: Chapman picked up a hit in each of the first two games of the series against Texas, but will get a rare day of rest for the series finale. Brett Wisely is starting at third base and hitting seventh while Chapman is out. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:35 am

    • Won't play Sunday
Devers was removed from Saturday's 6-1 loss to the White Sox with left knee soreness and won't play in Sunday's series finale, Sean McAdam of MassLive.com reports. He went 0-for-2 with a walk before exiting.

Advice: Manager Alex Cora said postgame that Devers reported soreness in his left knee -- the same knee that forced Devers to miss nearly a week in late April -- which led to Devers' removal in the eighth inning. Cora will play it safe with the star third baseman, giving him a day off Sunday. The Red Sox have a team off day Monday, so Devers' return to the lineup would come Tuesday against Philadelphia at the earliest. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:14 pm

    • Rafael Devers leaves game with sore knee Saturday
Rafael Devers was removed from Saturday’s battle against the White Sox due to soreness in his knee.

Advice: Red Sox’ manager Alex Cora told reporters after the game that, “His knee is bothering him.... hopefully it’s nothing worse than a little bit of soreness.” Devers said after the game that he won’t play on Sunday, but is hoping to return to action on Tuesday. For fantasy managers relying on him for next week, it’d be wise to have a contingency option in place in the event that Devers winds up missing a few games. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:35 pm

    • Blasts 12th home run
Morel went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Thursday's 8-4 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Morel can be streaky with his power production, but he appears to be locked in right now, as he has two home runs across his last three games and three in his last seven contests. The surge has pushed him up to 12 long balls for the season. Morel popped 26 home runs last year, and he certainly could reach or surpass that figure in 2024 if he stays healthy. • Gets rest during blowout
Devers was replaced by a pinch hitter during the seventh inning of Thursday's game against the White Sox, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: Devers exited with the Red Sox up 11-0 to get some extra rest, and he went 1-for-4 with a run scored prior to hitting the bench. He now has a six-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 8-for-23 with three homers, six RBI and seven runs scored. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:06 pm
