      Advice: The only earned run allowed by Rodriguez was a solo home run by Vladimir Guerrero in the fourth inning. The 24-year-old set a new season-best with 6.2 innings pitched Monday, turning in his fifth quality start of the season. Rodriguez has found his groove over his past five starts -- in that span, the right-hander owns a 2.16 ERA and 31:12 K:BB in 29.1 innings. Skubal allowed at least one baserunner in each inning, but he was still able to earn a quality start despite not having his best stuff. Skubal allowed a leadoff home run to Marcus Semien, but that was the only run the Rangers could muster against him. His ERA is now 1.97 as he continues to push for the AL Cy Young award.       Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Orioles on Monday.

      Advice: The home run was Guerrero Jr.'s sixth of the season. He was back at first base after playing third base on Sunday. It would boost his fantasy value to add third base eligibility, but he’ll need a few more appearances at the hot corner for that. Guerrero Jr.'s average is up to .295 with an .808 OPS on the season.       Grayson Rodriguez allowed two runs (one earned) in 6 2/3 innings and got the win in the Orioles’ 7-2 victory over the Blue Jays on Monday.



      Advice: The win was Rodriguez’ sixth of the season. He gave up seven hits, walked none and struck out four. The Blue Jays scored on an RBI triple by Daulton Varsho and a solo home run by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Rodriguez has allowed more than three runs in only two of his 10 starts this season.       The Tigers optioned Torkelson to Triple-A Toledo on Monday.

      Advice: Multiple reports after the Tigers' 8-4 win over the Red Sox on Sunday suggested that Torkelson was en route to Triple-A, but Detroit waited until shortly before Monday's series opener in Texas to make the move official. Torkelson slugged 31 home runs last season, and many anticipated another step forward in 2024, but it simply hasn't come together, with the former top prospect slashing just .201/.266/.330 with four home runs across 229 plate appearances. He'll be back in the majors eventually, but a reset at Toledo was deemed necessary.       Tigers optioned 1B Spencer Torkelson to Triple-A Toledo.

      The Twins optioned Julien to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

      Advice: Julien put up a 132 OPS+ last season as a rookie and opened the 2024 campaign as the Twins' leadoff man against right-handed pitching. While he started off with an .830 OPS in April this season, he posted a .482 OPS with a 36.5 percent strikeout rate since May 1. Julien could regain a regular role with Minnesota later this season, but he'll head to St. Paul for now as he looks to get back on track.       Advice: As anticipated, the 25-year-old infielder is sent out to make room on the active roster for the return of Royce Lewis on Tuesday. Julien had been mired in quite the slump — slashing just .169/.274/.181 with zero homers, five RBI and a 36/12 K/BB ratio over 95 plate appearances over his last 32 games dating back to April 28.
