    • Hits first homer of season
Taylor went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 win over the Royals.

Advice: This was Taylor's first homer and second extra-base hit over 106 plate appearances this season. The veteran utility man has a pitiful .108/.200/.151 slash line with nine RBI, six runs scored and one stolen base over 39 contests. Taylor is usually able to carve out a steady role as a short-side platoon option at a variety of positions, but his poor hitting and the Dodgers' good health with their batters has prevented the 33-year-old from seeing anything close to regular playing time. • Wyatt Langford has two hits, RBI in loss to Mariners
Wyatt Langford drove in a run while going 2-for-4 with a double and a steal in a loss Friday to the Mariners.

Advice: Langford drove in his run in the first with an RBI single to make it 2-0 Rangers. It’d be the last run that Texas would score off Castillo or the Seattle bullpen. Langford has looked the part since returning from injury, and there’s lots of reasons to believe he can be a strong option over the second half of 2024. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

    • Tallies homer and steal
Pederson went 2-for-4 with a homer, a steal, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 7-1 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Pederson collected his fourth steal, marking the most he's had in a season since 2017 (his career-high is six, set in 2016). The veteran lefty bat flashed his power too, tattooing a 425-foot solo homer off Michael Soroka in the seventh for the Diamondbacks' final run of the evening. The 32-year-old Pederson has found new life in Arizona, slashing .291/.387/.521 over 197 plate appearances with nine homers, 24 runs scored and 30 RBI this season. Rotowire.com 46 minutes ago

    • Knocks fourth homer
Friedl went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Brewers.

Advice: Friedl opened the game's scoring with his solo shot in the third inning. He singled and scored in the fifth and knocked in a run during the sixth. Friedl has four home runs this season, all coming over his last 11 games. During that stretch, he's hitting .309 with 12 RBI despite collecting multiple hits only twice. Friedl is slashing .247/.353/.438 through 85 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 9:18 pm
    • Andrew Benintendi reaches three times in loss
Andrew Benintendi went 2-for-2 with a walk in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: He also scored a run. One of Benintendi’s hits was a double, and it sadly improves his slash to .204/.245/.296 as he’s been one of the worst hitters over the first two and a half months of the season. Rotoworld Today, 9:15 pm
    • Joc Pederson homers again in rout of White Sox
Joc Pederson went 2-for-4 with a homer, stolen base, two RBI and two runs scored in a 7-1 blowout win over the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: Pederson’s homer is the ninth of the year, and the steal is the fourth for the 32-year-old in 2024. The veteran outfielder also drove in a run on a fielder’s choice. Pederson has been excellent as of late, and he’s now homered in back-to-back games. If the Diamondbacks fall out of this, he’s a strong candidate to be dealt before the deadline. • Clubs ninth homer
McCutchen went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Friday's 5-2 win over Colorado.

Advice: McCutchen crushed a mammoth 448-foot solo homer of Ryan Feltner in the sixth inning to give the Pirates a lead they never relinquished. The 37-year-old veteran later tallied another run to his register when a Bryan Reynolds single drove him home in the eighth. McCutchen has been a steady producer over the last 30 days, hitting .297 (28-for-94) with five homers, 19 runs scored and 12 RBI in 22 games. Rotowire.com Today, 9:06 pm
    • Cracks three extra-base hits
Blackmon went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, two doubles and two runs scored in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Blackmon collected two doubles off bulk reliever Luis Ortiz before capping his evening with a 412-foot solo homer against David Bednar in the ninth. The 37-year-old veteran has shown signs of life in June, as he's hitting .347 (17-for-49) over 12 games this month. Overall, Blackmon sports a .266/.335/.411 slash line with three homers, five steals, 32 runs scored and 26 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 9:01 pm

    • Expected to be fine
Cave received four stitches after being hit in the head by a line drive during pregame batting practice Friday, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

Advice: Although Cave had to be carted off the field following the incident, he said after Friday's game that he felt fine and that there isn't any reason to suspect he might have suffered a concussion. It's possible the Rockies keep the 31-year-old outfielder sidelined for another game or two just to be safe, but a trip to the injured list doesn't seem likely. Cave has slashed .238/.302/.305 with seven RBI through 116 plate appearances on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 9:00 pm
