      Glasnow (6-5) took the loss Sunday against the Yankees, allowing five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out 12 in six innings.

      Advice: Nearly all the damage against Glasnow came via the long ball. The Yankees opened up the scoring with a solo home run in the third and tacked on an additional run before the inning ended. Trent Grisham later slugged a three-run blast in the sixth to put the Yankees up 5-3 and they would not relinquish the lead from there. The eight hits allowed tied Glasnow's season high and he's now given up at least a home run in five of his last six starts, though it was also his fifth time striking out at least 10 hitters.     • Tyler Glasnow strikes out 12 in loss to Yankees
      Tyler Glasnow had mixed results in Sunday night’s loss to the Yankees, giving up five runs on eight hits over his six innings of work.

      Advice: On the plus side for fantasy managers, Glasnow piled up 12 strikeouts on the night while issuing just one free pass. Nearly all of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Oswaldo Cabrera belting a solo shot in the third inning and Trent Grisham slugging a go-ahead three-run shot in the sixth. The 30-year-old hurler got a whopping 22 swings and misses in the ballgame — 12 on his slider alone — while registering an elite CSW of 40 percent.     • Jon Gray likely to start Wednesday vs. Dodgers
      Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters that Jon Gray is likely to start Wednesday against the Dodgers.

      Advice: Bochy said that Gray is written “in pencil” to start that game, so it’s not a lock that the right-hander will get the ball in that contest. The right-hander threw 2 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball Saturday in relief after being activated off the 15-day injured list.       Gausman (5-4) picked up the win Saturday, giving up five hits and a walk in a complete-game shutout during Toronto's 7-0 victory over Oakland. He struck out 10.

      Advice: It was the first shutout of Gausman's career, and the veteran right-hander was dominant all afternoon, firing 76 of 109 pitches for strikes while tying his season high in Ks. He's produced four quality starts in his last five trips to the mound, lowering his ERA on the season to 4.00 with a 1.25 WHIP and 69:16 K:BB through 69.2 innings.       Kevin Gausman struck out 10 in a complete-game shutout of the Athletics on Saturday for the win.

      Advice: Gausman was outstanding on Saturday, shutting out the A’s in a complete game, his first of his 12-year career. He scattered five hits and walked one batter while striking out 10 on 17 whiffs.       Rangers activated RHP Jon Gray from the 15-day injured list.

      Advice: Rangers skipper Bruce Bochy told reporters Saturday there’s a strong possibility Gray pitches in relief before rejoining the club’s starting rotation next week when the club travels to Los Angeles to face the Dodgers. The 32-year-old veteran righty has been out since late May with a right groin strain.
