    • Jurickson Profar homers, Padres demolish D-backs
      Jurickson Profar slugged a solo homer and also added a three-run double on Friday, lifting the Padres to a 10-3 blowout victory over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Profar has been an unexpected revelation this season in his return to San Diego, and even looks like he has a shot at making his first All-Star Game appearance. The 31-year-old journeyman clubbed a solo shot -- his ninth round-tripper of the season -- off Diamondbacks starter Brandon Pfaadt in the opening frame before tacking on a bases-clearing three-run double in the eighth inning to ostensibly blow the game wide open. He won’t sustain this near-elite level of performance for the entire season, but fantasy managers should continue to ride the wave until it comes craching into shore.     • Drives in four in win
      Profar went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a three-run double in Friday's 10-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Profar went back-to-back with Fernando Tatis in the first inning and then added a three-run double in the eighth as part of a five-run inning. Through seven games in June, Profar has gone 7-for-25 (.280) with three extra-base hits and a 3:6 BB:K. The outfielder is only slightly cooling off from his impressive first two months -- he's now at a .325/.418/.496 slash line with nine homers, 42 RBI, 35 runs scored and four stolen bases over 67 contests.     • Alexis Díaz gives up run, earns 13th save
      Alexis Díaz recorded his 13th save despite giving up a run in the ninth Friday against the Cubs.

      Advice: After getting two well-hit lineouts to start the ninth, Díaz walked a batter and allowed an RBI double. He then struck out Patrick Wisdom to end the game with a 3-2 score. Díaz has made 26 appearances this season and turned in a perfect inning three times. Still, as shaky as he’s been, he’s 13-for-15 saving games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:43 pm
       
    • Irvin allows three runs and picks up win Friday
      Cole Irvin allowed three runs (two earned) in 5 2/3 innings and got the win in the Orioles’ 6-3 victory over the Rays on Friday.



      Advice: Irvin gave up eight hits, walked none and struck out six. The win was his sixth of the season. Irvin hasn’t allowed more than three earned runs since his second start of the year back on April 10th. His ERA on the season is now 2.87, though his 4.19 xFIP tells a different story. The 30-year-old left-hander will see if he can keep it going against the Braves at home next week.

    • Lands on IL
      The Astros placed Tucker on the 10-day injured list Friday with a right shin contusion, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

      Advice: Tucker has been held out of action since he fouled a ball off his right shin during Monday's game against the Cardinals. Manager Joe Espada said Friday that Tucker is feeling much better since then, per Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle, though the outfielder's recovery has progressed much slower than the team initially expected.     • Bednar picks up 13th save Friday
      David Bednar tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Twins on Friday.

      Advice: The save was Bednar’s 13th of the season. He blew three of his first four save opportunities this season, but since then he’s converted on 12 consecutive save chances.     • Astros place Kyle Tucker (shin) on 10-day IL
      Astros placed OF Kyle Tucker on the 10-day injured list with a right shin contusion.

      Advice: Tucker has been unable to play since leaving Monday’s game with a bruise on his left shin, and the Astros will place him on the injured list rather than play shorthanded. There’s no current timetable for when the 27-year-old can return, but fantasy managers will have to be without one of the best outfielders in baseball for at least a week.     • Contreras (forearm) expects to return before July
      Willson Contreras told reporters that he expects to return from his forearm injury before July.

      Advice: When asked if he could return as a designated hitter instead of a backstop, Contreras answered with a convincing “hell no.” The backstop did say a return against Chicago next week seemed a little fast ,but he does appear like he’ll beat his All-Star game timeline.
