    X-rays on Lindor's left index finger came back negative after he injured it on a bunt attempt during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

    Advice: Despite injuring his finger during the first game of Tuesday's action, Lindor was still able to play in the nightcap and go 1-for-4. The 30-year-old shortstop is dealing with a bit of swelling in his finger, so it's possible he sits down for a day or two until the swelling goes down; however, a long-term absence seems unlikely.   • Hampson drives in one run for Royals in loss
    Garrett Hampson went 1-for-3 with one RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Twins.

    Advice: Hampson drove in the Royals’ first run of the night when he singled home Nick Loftin in the fifth inning. It was a tough evening for the Royals, as the heart of their order failed to record a hit, leaving Hampson and the lower third of the order to act as run support.     Advice: The positive news here is that X-rays came back negative on Lindor’s finger after he hurt it attempting a bunt during Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Dodgers. It was a three-run homer for Seager, who upped his RBI total to 27 on the season, with 11 of those RBI coming in his last seven games.     Miguel Vargas slugged a solo homer to lead the Dodgers to a 3-0 win in the second game of Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Mets.

    Advice: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has been reluctant to give Vargas opportunities so far as he made just his third start in this one since being summoned back on May 17 from Triple-A Oklahoma City. He connected for his first round-tripper of the season when he took Mets starter José Quintana deep in the sixth inning. The 24-year-old should probably get a longer look in Los Angeles, but it doesn’t sound like that’s in the cards at the moment, unless he’s going to force them to keep his bat in the lineup.     Advice: Westburg drove both runs in on a 103.7 mph single in the first inning. He now has 34 RBI to go along with a .291/.351/.508 slash line. While the 25-year-old has cooled down a bit from his torrid start to the season and is pulling the ball far less than he was in April, he continues to produce, hitting .278 with three home runs in 24 games in May.
