• Jasson Domínguez out with oblique strain
Jasson Domínguez is dealing with an oblique strain.

Advice: Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed late Tuesday that Domínguez has been diagnosed with an oblique strain, which sent him to the minor league injured list over the weekend. The timing is really unfortunate for New York since there’s a possibility Aaron Judge could wind up requiring a trip to the injured list after being hit by a pitch on the left hand during Tuesday’s win over the Orioles. • Volpe drives in one as Yankees down Orioles
Anthony Volpe went 1-for-5 with one RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Orioles.

Advice: Volpe got the scoring started for the Yankees in the second inning when he singled to drive in Austin Wells from third. Volpe’s hit was one of just six hits the Yankees tallied on the evening, as they managed to draw six walks, with five coming against Orioles starter Albert Suárez. Rotoworld 6 minutes ago

  • McKenzie can’t escape third inning in loss
Triston McKenzie allowed four runs on three hits in 2 1/3 while walking four and striking out nobody in a loss to the Mariners.

Advice: This is now the fifth straight subpar start for McKenzie, who had an uptick in velocity tonight but saw no benefit from it. We know he’s pitching through an injury, and he’s just clearly not healthy when he’s out there on the mound right now. He didn’t throw a single slider in the strike zone tonight and had just a 40 percent zone rate overall. With Gavin Williams on the way back, you have to wonder if McKenzie might be in jeopardy of losing his spot in the rotation. He’ll take a 4.48 ERA into an okay matchup against the Blue Jays this weekend, but he’s simply tough to trust right now. Rotoworld 7 minutes ago

  • Albert Suárez struggles in loss to Yankees
Albert Suárez allowed three earned runs over 3 2/3 innings while striking out three in Tuesday’s loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Suárez got through the first inning unscathed but ran into trouble in the second inning after a one-out walk to Gleyber Torres. Austin Wells would double in the following at-bat and was eventually driven in by an Anthony Volpe double. He would get out of the jam with just the one run allowed but kicked off the third inning by hitting Aaron Judge with a pitch and allowing a long single to Alex Verdugo. Giancarlo Stanton would then single to drive home Judge. Suárez wouldn’t make it out of the fourth inning after being pulled with two outs following a walk to Stanton. Suárez walked a season-high five batters in this one. He’ll look to bounce back in his next start, which is set for Sunday against the Astros. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago

  • Jordan Westburg day-to-day with hip soreness
Jordan Westburg is day-to-day with left hip soreness.

Advice: Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters following Tuesday’s loss to the Yankees that Westburg is pretty sore, but it doesn’t sound like he suffered a significant injury when he collided at an awkward angle with Juan Soto during the opening frame of the contest, which led to his early exit. The 25-year-old infielder will likely sit out a couple games moving forward, but it doesn’t appear that he’s headed to the injured list. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago

  • Nestor Cortes blanks O’s for six innings in win
Nestor Cortes pitched six scoreless innings while striking out six to earn the win on Tuesday against the Orioles.

Advice: Cortes needed 25 pitches to get through the first inning, thanks in part to back-to-back singles by Adley Rutschman and Ryan Mountcastle. He would eventually settle in to pitch six scoreless innings without walking a batter. The five hits Cortes allowed all came on singles as he did everything within reason to hold a powerful Orioles lineup in check. Cortes has been feisty at home all season and draws another home start on Sunday against the Braves. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago

  • Alexis Díaz earns 16th save on Tuesday
Alexis Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a 2-1 win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: The save was Díaz’s 16th of the season and 5th in the month of June. It was a nice rebound from his tough outing against the Brewers last time out and Díaz has now thrown a scoreless inning in eight of his last 11 appearances. The bigger key for the 27-year-old was that he didn’t walk a batter in this outing, only the second time in June he’s accomplished that. He needs to keep the walks down if he’s going to continue having success at the end of games. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago
  • Iglesias picks up 19th save in win over Tigers
Raisel Iglesias pitched a perfect ninth inning to pick up his 19th save on Tuesday against the Tigers.

Advice: After giving way to Joe Jimenez to shut the door on Monday, Iglesias was back on the bump on Tuesday to close things out vs. the Tigers. Iglesias needed just 11 pitches to pick up his 19th save of the season, bouncing back nicely from his last outing vs. the Rays. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago
  • Santiago Espinal homers in win over Pirates
Santiago Espinal went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Espinal’s home run accounted for the only runs the Reds would score, or need to score, on Tuesday. It was Espinal’s first start in over a week and just his fourth home run of the season to go along with a .204 average. He remains off fantasy radars, but it was a good day for him today.
