    • Smashes homer Wednesday
Bohm went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Bohm was named the National League's All-Star starter at third base earlier in the day, and his performance Wednesday was a good example of what he can do. He's up to 11 homers on the year, with five of them coming over his last 15 games. The 27-year-old has added a .299/.351/.494 slash line, 70 RBI, 40 runs scored, four stolen bases, 28 doubles and a triple over 84 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:28 pm

    • Luis Rengifo exits game with hand injury Wednesday
Luis Rengifo was removed from Wednesday night’s battle against the Athletics in the ninth inning due to an apparent hand injury.

Advice: Rengifo appeared to injure his hand while swinging the bat on a foul ball in the ninth inning. Whatever the issue is, it was substantial enough to pull him from the game in the middle of an at-bat. The Angels should have an update on Rengifo’s status prior to Thursday’s series finale. • Exits with injury
Rengifo was removed from Wednesday's game versus Oakland due to an apparent injury, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Rengifo's hand/wrist seemed to be bothering him after he fouled off a pitch in the ninth inning, and he was immediately replaced at the plate following the incident. The specifics of his injury remain unknown, but the Angels will presumably take him in for imaging and should offer more information ahead of Thursday's game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:58 pm

    • Alec Bohm launches two run homer in win over Cubs
Alec Bohm went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer on Wednesday, leading the Phillies to a 5-3 victory over the Cubs.

Advice: Just a few hours after being named to the National League’s starting third baseman for the upcoming Midsummer Classic, the first All-Star Game selection of his career, Bohm took Cubs ace Shota Imanaga deep for a two-run blast -- his 11th round-tripper of the season -- to help the Phillies to a late-inning comeback victory. The 27-year-old slugger is in the midst of the best season of his career by a considerable margin, batting .299 with 40 runs scored, 11 homers, 70 RBI and four steals through 84 games. • Resting Wednesday
Jeffers isn't in the Twins' lineup for Wednesday's game versus Detroit.

Advice: Jeffers and Christian Vazquez continue to alternate starts behind the plate, with Wednesday marking Vazquez's turn to catch. Jeffers went 0-for-4 with an RBI during Tuesday's win, leaving him hitless in eight at-bats over his last two contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:37 pm

    • On verge of rehab assignment
Bogaerts (shoulder) could begin a rehab assignment within the next day or two, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union Tribune reports.

Advice: Bogaerts had a CT scan of his left shoulder Monday, the results of which indicated that he is ready to resume playing. Acee indicates that the infielder will likely head out on a rehab assignment with Triple-A El Paso in the coming days, and team officials have previously suggested that a rehab stint would last 7 to 10 days. Though manager Mike Shildt recently said that there is no timeline for Bogaerts' activation from the injured list, if all goes well moving forward, he could rejoin the Padres for their home series against Atlanta that begins July 12. • Traded to Milwaukee
The Brewers acquired Civale from the Rays on Wednesday in exchange for minor-league infielder Gregory Barrios, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Civale has an ERA north of 5.00 through 17 starts this season, but his xFIP is almost a full run lower at 4.09, and he should help stabilize the rotation for the division-leading Brewers. Shane Baz was scratched from his scheduled start for Triple-A Durham on Tuesday and appears a likely candidate to replace Civale in the Tampa Bay rotation. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:12 am

    • Civale traded to Brewers
Brewers acquired RHP Aaron Civale from the Rays, according to the New York Post’s Jon Heyman.

Advice: The Rays acquired Civale last July from the Guardians in a deal for Kyle Mansardo. He went 4-9 with a 5.17 ERA in 27 starts for the Rays. Civale has a 5.07 ERA despite a 4.09 xFIP this season so this could be a shrewd pickup by the Brewers. Not much has changed with his fantasy value as he moves into the Milwaukee rotation. • Lifts 13th homer
Burleson went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Burleson fizzled late in June, going 1-for-14 over his last four contests, but he started July on a high note. The outfielder had great June overall, hitting .271 with seven homers, 20 RBI, 18 runs scored, three stolen bases and an .824 OPS over 28 contests. That's earned him a starting role in right field and as the Cardinals' No. 2 hitter. For the season, Burleson is slashing .280/.313/.466 with 13 homers, 40 RBI, 33 runs scored and five steals through 77 games. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:48 pm
