• Ends power drought Friday
McNeil went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's 7-2 win over the Astros.

Advice: The second baseman took Ronel Blanco deep in the sixth inning, the third of three Mets homers on the night. It was McNeil's first long ball since May 22, snapping a 23-game power outage, and the performance was his first three-hit game since May 7. He'll need more than one good game to earn the trust of fantasy GMs again, however -- on the season, McNeil is slashing a feeble .212/.283/.312 with four home runs, four steals, 19 RBI and 31 runs in 72 contests. • Comes up clutch
Wisely went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-3 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Wisely's third homer of the year was a walk-off blast against Dodgers reliever Blake Treinen. Since June 10, Wisely has gone 17-for-55 (.309) with two homers and seven RBI across 14 contests. He's at a .304/.333/.461 slash line with three homers, 14 RBI, 13 runs scored, one stolen base and seven doubles over 108 plate appearances this season. While the Giants have valued Wisely for his defensive versatility, he has most often been stuck in a platoon at shortstop. That could change after second baseman Thairo Estrada (wrist) went on the injured list Friday, though it's also possible Wisely continues to sit against southpaws in favor of Tyler Fitzgerald during Estrada's absence. • Zack Gelof picks up three hits, steal in victory
Zack Gelof stole a base and went 3-for-4 in a win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Gelof also scored two runs and drew a walk for a big fantasy night for the second-year 24-year-old. One of the hits was a triple — his second of the season — and his steal gives him nine of the season. it’s nice to see some success for Gelof as a reminder that there’s some long-term potential in his bat, as a .205/.259/.352 slash doesn’t exactly scream fantasy upside. • Brett Wisely hits walk-off homer against Dodgers
Brett Wisely hit a walk-off two-run homer against the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Baseball can be funny. Wisely hit a ball that just went foul that the Giants challenged went fair, and instead of what might have been a double, he ends up with a walk-off blast off Blake Treinen. Wisely also singled in this contest, and he’s been a strong performer for the Giants as seen in a slash of .304/.333/.461 with three homers and 14 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:11 pm

  • Jeff McNeil gets right with three hits, home run
Jeff McNeil went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and two runs scored in the Mets’ 7-2 win over the Astros on Friday.

Advice: McNeil has been waiting all season for a game like this. The home run was his first at Citi Field since September 24th of last year and oddly his first long ball this season outside the state of Ohio. The signs of life are encouraging, but McNeil’s batting average still sits at a lowly .221. Even a minor hot streak would make him worth a look in deeper leagues since the Mets continue to start him every day. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:22 pm

  • Gleyber Torres returns to Yankees lineup Friday
Gleyber Torres returned to the Yankees’ starting lineup on Friday night.

Advice: Torres may have been dealing with a minor injury, or his absence from the lineup the last two days could have been a punishment for failing to run out a ground ball. Either way, he’s back in there at second base and batting fifth against Yusei Kikuchi and the Blue Jays on Friday evening in Toronto. The 27-year-old is slashing a miserable .215/.294/.333 with seven homers, 29 RBI and four stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:27 pm
  • Returns to lineup
Torres is batting fifth and playing second base Friday at Toronto.

Advice: Torres is 2-for-29 at the plate since June 14 and was given back-to-back days off to clear his head amid the slump. The second baseman is 10-for-26 (.385) in his career against Yusei Kikuchi, who's the Blue Jays' starting pitcher Friday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:23 pm
  • Held out again Friday
Lowe (toe) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Lowe hasn't played since suffering a fractured right pinky toe June 22. The Rays are facing a lefty in Mitchell Parker on Friday, so Lowe might not have been in the lineup anyway. If he remains out Saturday against righty Jake Irvin, a stint on the injured list may have to be considered. Jose Caballero is at second base Friday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:07 pm
  • Brandon Lowe on bench again Friday
Brandon Lowe (toe) isn’t starting for Friday’s game against the Nationals.

Advice: Lowe hasn’t played since June 22nd after breaking his pinkie toe. He also battled an illness earlier this week. Tampa Bay is also facing a left-hander starter in Mitchell Parker. The Rays haven’t put Lowe on the IL yet so hopefully he can return to the lineup soon. Jose Caballero will get the start at second base and bat seventh on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:03 pm
