    Advice: Jimenez experienced a brief scare when he experienced some soreness in his hamstring in his first game back from the injured list in Sunday's 11-2 loss to the Tigers, but he proceeded to serve as the White Sox's designated hitter in both of the first two games of the series with the Dodgers. He went 2-for-9 between the two contests, smacking a double while driving in a run.   • Brent Rooker doubles in loss
    Brent Rooker went 2-for-4 with a double on Wednesday against the Angels.

    Advice: The Athletics keep losing, but Rooker keeps hitting. The double was his 32nd extra-base hit of the season and his OPS has climbed up to .845, 20th in the league among qualified players.     Jarred Kelenic went 3-for-5 with a homer, three RBI and a steal in the Braves’ 6-2 victory over the Cardinals in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader.

    Advice: We’re still not all in on the Kelenaissance here, but the 24-year-old should continue to offer mixed-league value while leading off regularly for the Braves. The homer today was his eighth in his last 38 games (and eighth in 64 games for the year). Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:45 pm
     
  • Jake Bauers delivers grand slam in Brewers’ win
    Jake Bauers hit a grand slam off Nathan Eovaldi as the Brewers edged the Rangers 6-5 in 10 innings Wednesday.

    Advice: Midgame replacement Andruw Monasterio delivered the game-winning single in the bottom of the 10th. It was a little surprising to see Bauers start over Tyler Black today, but Pat Murphy seems to have made the right call. Bauers’ 444-foot slam was the first ever surrendered by Eovaldi.   • Starting against right-hander again
    Taylor will start in right field and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

    Advice: The right-handed-hitting Taylor has started in both of the Mets' first two games in right field since Starling Marte (knee) landed on the 10-day injured list, even as the opposition has sent a righty to the bump both times.     Advice: Bauers will be included in the lineup for the second game in a row and for the third time in four games after producing three hits over his prior two starts. The 29-year-old is still getting on base at a lowly .279 clip for the season, so despite seeing his playing time trend upward of late, he's hardly locked into an everyday role for Milwaukee.     Advice: With Starling Marte (knee) landing on the injured list, Taylor and DJ Stewart are expected to split reps in right field. Instead of using a strict platoon, however, Mets manager Carlos Mendoza elected to deploy the right-handed Taylor against Gerrit Cole on Tuesday, perhaps prioritizing Taylor's superior defense.     Advice: Most of his damage came on a grand slam in the eighth inning off Reed Garrett as the Yankees tried to mount a comeback from a 9-1 deficit.     Advice: Arias has been in the lineup for the last two games since he returned from the family medical emergency list. The utility man provided a two-run double in the second inning and an RBI single in the eighth as one of four Guardians to log multiple hits in the contest.
