• Secures fourth save
Jax earned the save in a win over the White Sox on Thursday, striking out one over two-thirds of an inning.

Advice: Jax entered the game with one out and a four-run lead in the top of the ninth and got Eloy Jimenez to go down swinging before Robbie Grossman reached on a fielding error in the following at-bat, scoring Nicky Lopez. He then needed just one pitch to retire the final batter via groundout and secure his fourth save of the season. Jax has not allowed a run in either of his last four appearances and had held his opponents hitless in each of his last three, striking out four over that stretch while not issuing any walks. • Allows two runs in no-decision
Soroka did not factor into the decision against the Twins on Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out one over five innings.

Advice: Soroka walked Alex Kirilloff on four straight pitches to open the bottom of the first and appeared to be headed for another rough outing, but the right-hander was able to work his way through the inning despite also allowing a two-out single. Soroka actually shut out the Twins over the first five innings before giving up back-to-back home runs to lead off the sixth, though he also managed just one strikeout on the afternoon. It marked the first time in his last four starts that he was able to make it through five innings, though he now sports a dismal 13:14 K:BB on the season. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago
  • Three hits, two RBI in win
Hoskins went 3-for-5 in Thursday's win over the Pirates with a double, two RBI and a stolen base.

Advice: Hoskins singled home William Contreras in his second at-bat to tie the game at 3-3 and later added an RBI double in the fifth to give Milwaukee a one-run lead. The first baseman has now recorded at least one RBI in four of his last six games while Thursday marked his second three-hit effort of the season. With that said, he's still batting just .219 in April with four homers and 13 RBI. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago

  • Goes yard, scores three times
Contreras went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, three runs scored and a stolen base while also drawing a walk in Thursday's win over the Pirates.

Advice: Contreras launched a solo homer off Mitch Keller in the top of the first to give Milwaukee an early lead and then came around to score the team's third run on a Rhys Hoskins single in the third, following a walk. He would add a single in the fifth before going on to steal his second base of the season. The catcher scored three runs in the contest, a mark he's hit three times now in the early season, while also recording multiple hits for the second consecutive game. Contreras is now batting .373 in April with five homers, 20 RBI and 21 runs scored. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago
  • Fans seven in no-decision
Keller allowed four runs on six hits and two walks over five frames in a no-decision against the Brewers on Thursday while striking out seven.

Advice: Keller got off to a rocky start, surrendering a solo home run to William Contreras in the second at-bat of the game before then allowing another two runs in the third following back-to-back walks to open the frame. The right-hander would fail to make it through six innings for the first time in his last four starts while allowing four earned runs for the fourth time this season. On a positive note, Keller did record his second-highest strikeout total of the campaign with seven. Rotowire.com 47 minutes ago
  • Allows season-high five runs
Peralta did not factor into the decision against the Pirates on Thursday, allowing five runs on five hits and five walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Peralta struggled with his command throughout the contest, allowing four of the first eight batters to reach base before going on to surrender a season-high five runs. The right-hander gave up three runs in the first inning alone and failed to make it through five frames for the first time this season. Peralta also recorded a season-low five strikeouts on the afternoon after recording at least seven in each of his first five starts to open the campaign. Rotowire.com Today, 3:35 am
  • Yankees option Cody Morris to Triple-A
Yankees optioned RHP Cody Morris to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Advice: Morris was called up last Friday, but didn’t end up making an appearance for the Yankees before being shipped back to the minors. The 27-year-old righty figures to continue shuttling back and forth between New York’s bullpen and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre over the next few months. Rotoworld Today, 2:53 am

  • Goes deep for team's lone run
Trevino went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday in a loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Trevino plated an early run for New York with his solo blast in the second inning, but the team's offense did not score again. Still, the homer continued a strong recent stretch of offense by the backstop, as he's built an eight-game hitting streak during which he's batting .423/.464/.654. The hot span hasn't moved Trevino out of a timeshare behind the plate, however -- both he and Austin Wells have played three games over New York's past six contests. Rotowire.com Today, 12:15 am
  • Swats first homer
Nevin went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Thursday in a 3-1 victory versus the Yankees.

Advice: Nevin's two-run blast in the third inning proved to be the winning hit, as neither team crossed the plate after that point. The long ball was his first this season and just his sixth through 375 big-league plate appearances. Nevin hasn't flashed much power in the big leagues thus far and has never stolen a base as a major leaguer, so his upside is quite limited, though he's at least put together a decent .286/.355/.375 slash line this season.
