    • Expected to platoon at first base
Davis is expected to be used in a platoon at first base with the Yankees, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Davis was traded to New York on Sunday after being designated for assignment by the Athletics earlier in the week. Manager Aaron Boone said that Davis will be used in a timeshare at first base with Ben Rice while Anthony Rizzo (arm) is unavailable, entering the lineup when the Yankees face left-handers. The 31-year-old has produced a .265 average with a .795 OPS over 37 plate appearances against southpaws this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:33 pm

    • Alec Burleson has two hits, two SB in win
Alec Burleson went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two steals in a win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Burleson had an RBI single in the first inning and then another RBI single in the second to give him 32 RBI on the season. The two swipes also gave him five on the year to go along with a .385/.319/.469 slash line. He hits near the top of the lineup pretty much every day and needs to be rostered in more leagues. • Josh Smith homers in win
Josh Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Smith took Sam Long deep 383 feet at 102.2 mph for his seventh home run on the season. The 26-year-old has been brilliant filling in for Josh Jung, hitting .303/.391/.478 on the year. Considering his ability to play all over the field, he should be able to fight for consistent playing time even when Jung returns. Provided he keeps hitting like this. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:01 pm

    • Spencer Horwitz smacks two homers
Spencer Horwitz went 2-for-3 with two home runs, two walks, two RBI, and three runs scored on Sunday against the Guardians.

Advice: Horwitz had his best game of the season in this one. The two homers were each hit at least 102.9 MPH and great to see, but his ninth inning walk against Emmanuel Clase was especially impressive. He fought off seven pitches on his way to a 12-pitch at-bat as the tying run off one of the best relievers in baseball. The Blue Jays continue to show their faith in him too as he’s hit either first or second in every game he’s started since being called up. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:35 pm
    • Returned to Triple-A
Peraza was optioned back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Sunday's 3-1 loss to Atlanta.

Advice: Peraza was called up to replace Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) on the major-league roster after Stanton was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday, but Peraza failed to appear in the team's contest against Atlanta before being returned to Triple-A. With Stanton expected to miss approximately four weeks with a left hamstring strain, it's possible that Peraza makes multiple trips between the big leagues and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre over that time frame. • Yankees option Oswald Peraza back to Triple-A
Yankees optioned INF Oswald Peraza to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Advice: The 24-year-old infielder was brought up to provide depth on the Yankees’ bench on Sunday, but he’ll head right back to Triple-A with J.D. Davis expected to join the team on Monday. Peraza did not appear in Sunday’s game and has not gotten into a game with the Yankees so far this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:07 pm

    • Colt Keith falls triple short of the cycle
Colt Keith went 4-for-5 with a home run, double, three RBI and three runs scored in a, 11-2 win over the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: The Tigers, led by Keith, teed off against the White Sox. Eight of their nine starters had a hit and they had nine runs by the end of the second inning. Keith had a chance to hit the first cycle by a Tiger since Carlos Guillén in 2006 and the team has shown increased confidence in the youngster by moving him up to second in their order this week. • Gavin Sheets doubles and scores in loss
Gavin Sheets went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored on Sunday against the Tigers.

Advice: Sheets has been something of a bright spot in what’s otherwise been a very dim White Sox season. His strikeout rate has gone down for the fourth consecutive season and his .739 OPS leads the team. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:42 pm

    • Luke Raley with three hits, homer in loss
Luke Raley went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored on Sunday against the Marlins.

Advice: The Mariners were down 6-0 early Sunday and Raley did everything he could to drag them back in the game. He’s put a miserable April behind him and brought his full-season slash line up to .263/.310/.463 with nine home runs and five stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:25 pm
