      Carlos Rodon struggled in Saturday night’s loss to the Red Sox, surrendering five runs on seven hits over his five innings of work.

      Advice: The 31-year-old southpaw still managed to punch out seven batters on the evening while issuing three free passes. The Red Sox jumped on him in the opening inning, using run-scoring knocks from Tyler O’Neill, Connor Wong and Jaime Westbrook to push three runs across.       Advice: That’s now homers in back-to-back games for Riley, who might be starting to wake up a bit. There wasn’t much under the hood that looked “off” with Riley this year, but he was being pitched differently and not being given much he could turn on, which had hurt his pull power.
