      Advice: Glasnow cruised through the first four innings before allowing three consecutive batters to reach base with one out in the fifth, eventually leading to three runs coming across for Arizona. He would make it through the frame but didn't return for the sixth, marking the second straight start in which he's been unable to make it through at least six innings. The right-hander is now 1-2 in May after going 5-1 in his first six decisions to open the campaign. However, he still sports a healthy 34:5 K:BB through four starts this month.     • Tyler Glasnow allows three runs in loss to D-Backs
      Tyler Glasnow allowed three runs with six strikeouts over five innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

      Advice: Glasnow had worked around a pair of hits and an error through four scoreless innings before the Diamondbacks got to him in the fifth. A walk and a single put two runners on for Corbin Carroll, who brought both runners in to score on a triple. A wild pitch allowed Carroll to cross home for the third run. Glasnow would complete the frame and was done after five on 95 pitches. He struck out six.       Cortes (3-4) earned the win Wednesday over the Mariners, allowing three hits and three walks while striking out six over five scoreless innings.

      Advice: Cortes looks to have turned a corner, allowing just one unearned run over his last 12 innings spanning two starts. He's collected wins in both of those outings. Cortes is at a 3.29 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 63:15 K:BB through 65.2 innings over 11 starts this season.       Advice: Snell looked sharp to begin his first start after a month-long IL stint, keeping the Pirates scoreless after three frames. However, the 31-year-old crumbled in the fourth inning, yielding two walks, a hit-by-pitch and an infield single to let a run score and leave the bases loaded with one out for Sean Hjelle. Hjelle gave up a grand slam to the first batter he faced and pushed Snell's earned run total to four. Snell hasn't completed five innings in a start this season and is 0-3 with an 11.40 ERA through 15.0 innings. He's projected for a home start against the Phillies on Monday.       Nestor Cortes pitched five scoreless innings on Wednesday against the Mariners. He scattered three hits and three walks while striking out six and earning the win.

      Advice: Cortes had a tougher time in this one than the box score would suggest as the Mariners put men on base in each of the first four innings with a handful of runners in scoring position.       Blake Snell had mixed results in his return from the injured list on Wednesday, giving up four runs on four hits over 3 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Pirates.

      Advice: On the plus side for fantasy managers, Snell piled up five strikeouts on the evening, but he also issued four free passes. He kept the Pirates’ offense off the board through the first three frames but ran into serious trouble in the fourth. There, he loaded the bases on a pair of walks and an infield single, then plunked Andrew McCutchen to force in a run. He then turned the ball over to the bullpen — who immediately gave up a grand slam to allow all three inherited runners to score. Snell got an impressive 15 swings and misses on 87 pitches on the night — nine on his heater — while posting a CSW of 25 percent.       Triston McKenzie gave up three runs — all of them on solo homers — over five innings Wednesday versus the Mets.

      Advice: Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil and Harrison Bader hit the homers. McKenzie averaged a season-low 89.7 mph with his fastball today, down from 91.0 previously and 92.4 mph before he hurt his elbow last year.
