    • Lasts just 4.2 innings
Lopez (2-2) took the loss Saturday in Pittsburgh, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and one walk over just 4.2 innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Saturday marked the right-hander's shortest outing of the season and also his fewest number of pitches thrown (70) in a start this year. Lopez labored a bit in the third and fourth frames, and Atlanta manager Brian Snitker elected to pull his starter after he yielded a two-out single in the fifth. The righty hasn't won a game since April 16 even as he still holds a 2.43 ERA since that date. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:57 pm

    • Reynaldo López gives up three over 4 2/3 vs. Pirates
Reynaldo López went 4 2/3 innings and gave up three runs — two earned — in a start Saturday against the Pirates.

Advice: Lopez gave up five hits with one walk while striking out three. The right-hander allowed an RBI single in the third, and two more runs scored on a Nick Gonzales double. Even with a shaky outing, the 30-year-old still has a sensational 1.75 ERA on the season. He’s scheduled to fact the Nationals at home Thursday. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:42 pm

    • Stumbles against Brewers
Crawford (2-3) took the loss Friday, coughing up six runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings as the Red Sox fell 7-2 to the Brewers. He struck out four.

Advice: It was the worst performance of the season for the right-hander, who failed to complete five innings for the first time since April 5 and got tagged for more than three earned runs for just the second time in 11 starts. Crawford will take a 2.89 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 61:20 K:BB through 62.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Baltimore. • Kutter Crawford surrenders six runs in defeat
Kutter Crawford lasted only 4 1/3 innings and gave up six runs Friday in a loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Crawford allowed only five hard-hit balls on the night, but he couldn’t stop the bleeding in either the third or the fifth, giving up three runs each inning. After opening up with a 0.66 ERA in his first five starts, Crawford has come in at 4.64 in his last six outings. He’ll pitch in Baltimore next time out, making him a mediocre play in mixed leagues. • Effective again in no-decision
Lopez allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four batters over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus San Diego in Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader.

Advice: Lopez exited his previous start against the Cubs early due to back tightness, but the issue didn't seem to bother him Monday. The right-hander tossed 83 pitches and left in line for the win before Atlanta's bullpen crumbled late in the contest. Lopez earned his fourth quality start of the campaign but actually saw his ERA rise from 1.34 to 1.54, highlighting how great he's been this season. Monday was just the second time through eight outings that he's given up more than one earned run. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:07 pm

    • Reynaldo López watches bullpen blow game in eighth
Reynaldo López yielded two runs in 6 1/3 innings versus the Padres to take a no-decision in the first game of Monday’s doubleheader.

Advice: López exited with a 5-1 lead in the seventh before one of his two inherited runners scored. That wasn’t bad, but then the Padres went on to score four runs off Joe Jiménez in the eighth to win the game. López still hasn’t allowed more than three runs in any start this season, but with the Braves not scoring like they did last year, his record stands at 2-1 after eight turns. • Comes away with no-decision
Crawford allowed a run on six hits and two walks while striking out five over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: Nolan Gorman's second-inning solo shot was the only run on Crawford's line, but he was an out short of a quality start. It was still a good showing from the 28-year-old, who allowed a season-high four earned runs in his previous start versus the Rays. Crawford has given up one run or fewer in six of his 10 starts this season, pitching to a 2.17 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 57:18 K:BB over 58 innings this season. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Brewers. Rotowire.com May 18, 10:38 pm
