      The Giants placed Snell on the 15-day injured list Monday with a left groin strain.

      Advice: Snell had to depart Sunday's start versus the Yankees with the injury. He had been set to undergo an MRI, and while the results of that exam have yet to be revealed, the strain is significant enough to cost the left-hander at least a couple weeks of action. The 26-year-old right-hander has been shelved since May 15 due to a mild right forearm strain. He was supposed to make at least one rehab start at Triple-A Sacramento, but it sounds like the Giants may need to utilize him at the big league level instead.       Advice: Winn remains tentatively scheduled for a rehab start with Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, but the Giants might need to expedite his return to the majors with Blake Snell exiting his start in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Yankees with groin tightness and likely to land on the injured list. Snell's next turn comes up Saturday in Texas, though it's possible Winn is brought back to start earlier than that. Because Winn isn't fully stretched out yet and hasn't pitched since May 14, fantasy managers would be best off keeping him benched this week if the Giants elect to activate him.       Taijuan Walker struggled again in a no-decision against the Cardinals on Sunday night, giving up four runs on five hits over his five innings of work.

      Advice: The 31-year-old hurler punched out five batters on the night while issuing three free passes. He couldn’t keep the ball in the yard in this one, as Walker served up two-run homers to Nolan Gorman in the opening inning and Alec Burleson in the fourth. Walker generated 11 swings and misses on 93 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 30 percent. He also drew a walk during the Bombers’ four-run rally in the ninth inning, swiped second base, took third on a throwing error and scored on an RBI double off the bat of Giancarlo Stanton.
