    • Aaron Judge doubles twice in victory over Twins
Aaron Judge doubled twice on Thursday in the Yankees’ win over the Twins.

Advice: Judge scalded a pair of doubles in this one that carried exit velocities over 108 mph and traveled over 400 feet, but wound up staying in the yard at spacious Target Field in Minnesota. He finished 2-for-3 with a walk, reaching base safely in three of his four plate appearances in the one-sided affair. The 32-year-old former AL MVP has rebounded from a frosty start at the dish this season, batting .396 (19-for-48) with five homers and nine doubles in 14 contests since the start of May. • Pete Alonso hitting 2nd for Mets
Pete Alonso will hit second for the Mets on Thursday against the Phillies

Advice: This is the second straight start for Alonso in the second spot in the order, while Starling Marte moves down the sixth. Carlos Mendoza is clearly trying to jumpstart this Mets offense, and he was with the Yankees as a coach when they hit Aaron Judge second in the lineup, so perhaps he’s trying to recapture some of that magic. Alonso has just a .306 on-base percentage this year, which is the lowest of his career and his RBI opportunities will take a hit with the move out of the cleanup spot, so it’s unclear if this is a great decision. However, the big first baseman needs improve on his .756 OPS before we can worry about the impact of his spot in the lineup. Rotoworld 51 minutes ago

    • Resting Thursday
Jeffers is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Jeffers will get some maintenance in Thursday's day game after he caught all nine innings of the Twins' 4-0 loss Wednesday night. Christian Vazquez will check in for Jeffers behind the dish. Rotowire.com Today, 7:14 am

    • Fans seven but takes loss
Houck (3-5) took the loss against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, allowing three runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Houck made it through three scoreless frames before giving up an unearned run in the fourth. The right-hander had a 2-1 lead when he exited with two outs and two runners on base in the sixth, but Greg Weissert gave up consecutive hits in relief to saddle Houck with two more runs (only one of which was earned) along with the loss. Despite the defeat, Houck gave Boston a solid chunk of innings again -- he's completed at least 5.2 frames in each of his nine outings this season. He's pitched much better than his 3-5 record suggests with a 2.17 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 57:11 K:BB through 58 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:17 pm
    • Decent in loss
Carrasco (2-4) took the loss versus the Rangers on Wednesday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out three over five innings.

Advice: Carrasco traded zeroes with Jon Gray for the first four innings, but the Rangers broke through on a two-run home by Marcus Semien in the fifth. This was a small step back for Carrasco, who had posted quality starts in his last two outings. The right-hander is now at a 5.16 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 34:18 K:BB over 45.1 innings this season. He is projected for a home start versus the Mets his next time out. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:43 pm
    • Monster day at plate
Judge went 4-for-4 with a solo home run, three doubles, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Twins.

Advice: Judge opened the scoring with his first-inning solo shot and added an RBI double in the seventh. The outfielder has locked in with power over his last 10 games, going 16-for-36 (.444) with five homers, seven doubles, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored in that span. He was batting .207 at the end of April, but he's up to a .255/.386/.540 slash line with 11 homers, 29 RBI, 24 runs scored two stolen bases and 13 doubles over 44 contests. It's good to see Judge bounce back after the slow start, and getting him in a groove makes the Yankees' already-strong offense even more dangerous. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:30 pm

    • Aaron Judge hammers 467-foot homer
Aaron Judge went 4-for-4 with a mammoth home run, three doubles, two runs scored, two RBI, and a walk in the Yankees’ 4-0 win over the Twins on Wednesday.

Advice: Judge opened the scoring in this one with a solo-shot onto the third deck of Target Field and never made an out. It was the second time in three games Judge had four batted balls over 100 MPH and he’s raised his OPS from .645 to .926 since April 22nd. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:27 pm

    • Giants believe Keaton Winn’s injury is mild
Giants’ manager Bob Melvin told reporters on Wednesday that Keaton Winn’s forearm tightness is “pretty mild”.

Advice: At least that’s the initial diagnosis after Winn left Tuesday’s start with the issue. It still sounds like he’s going to miss at least one start — and could still wind up on the injured list — but the Giants aren’t expecting him to miss a significant amount of time. Mason Black is an option to start in his place on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:01 pm
    • Carlos Carrasco gives up two runs in loss
Carlos Carrasco allowed two runs with three strikeouts over five innings in a loss against the Rangers on Wednesday.

Advice: Carrasco had work through four scoreless frames, escaping a bases-loaded jam in the fourth with a double-play ground ball. Marcus Semien would get to him in the fifth, going deep for a two-run homer. Carrasco would end his day after five frames, striking out three. The 37-year-old right-hander will take a 5.16 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, and a 34/18 K/BB ratio across 45 1/3 innings into a matchup against the Mets in Cleveland on Tuesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:37 pm
