Abrams has gone yard in back-to-back contests to snap a 22-game power drought, but he hasn't crawled out of his May swoon quite yet -- he hasn't stolen a base in 19 straight games, and he's slashing just .221/.237/.338 over that stretch with a 1:18 BB:K.       CJ Abrams went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a sacrifice fly against the Braves on Monday.



      Advice: The Nationals scored four runs in the first inning and Abrams’ solo shot in the second inning made the score 5-0. He hit 18 home runs in 151 games last year and is halfway to that mark in only 49 games so far this season. Fantasy managers didn’t draft Abrams for his power, though. While he stole 47 bases last year, he has just eight steals so far this year.

His struggles from the middle of the order this month have led the Reds to the cellar in the NL Central, though it's certainly not all his fault.       Spencer Steer homered for the second consecutive game on Saturday, helping to power the Reds to a 3-1 victory over the visiting Dodgers.

      Advice: Steer got the scoring started in the opening inning on Saturday, crushing a 362-foot (94.9 mph EV) solo shot off of Walker Buehler.       Advice: Steer got the Reds' offense started with a three-run blast in the first inning. He snapped a 17-game homerless drought, during which he'd posted an unsightly .527 OPS.       Steer (ankle) will start at first base and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Padres.

      Advice: Steer didn't start in either of the last two games while managing a sore ankle, though he felt well enough to make a pinch-hitting appearance in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Dodgers. Monday's team off day plus an absence from the lineup in Tuesday's 2-0 win over San Diego appears to have provided sufficient time for Steer to move past the ankle issue. He'll likely continue to see the bulk of his starts at first base rather than in the corner outfield for the duration of Christian Encarnacion-Strand's (wrist) stint on the injured list.
