    • José Ramírez homers, scores four times in victory
José Ramírez homered, doubled, walked twice and scored four runs against the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: Ramírez has spent most of the year with a slash line well below his usual standards, but going 16-for-44 with seven homers and six doubles in his last 11 games has pushed him up to .272/.328/.558, and he now has eight more RBI (56) than anyone else in the majors. • Josh Jung (wrist) cleared to resume swinging a bat
Josh Jung (wrist) has been cleared to resume swinging a bat.

Advice: Jung remains several weeks away from returning to Texas’ lineup as he continues to work his way back from early-April surgery on his right wrist. He’s not expected to return until at least late June or early July, even in a best-case scenario. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:09 pm

    • Royce Lewis (quad) plays 3B on Tuesday at AAA
Royce Lewis (quad) played seven innings at third base on Tuesday for Triple-A St. Paul.

Advice: Lewis went 0-for-3 at the dish and made his first appearance in the field since kicking off a minor league rehab assignment last week. The 24-year-old third baseman will presumably require at least a handful of additional tune-up contests to get back up to speed before returning to Minnesota. This was certainly a step in the right direction as he works his way back from a severe quad strain that sent him to the injured list back on Opening Day. Rotoworld Tuesday, 3:26 pm

    • Rehab to continue at Triple-A
Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said Sunday that Lewis (quadricep) responded well to his first two minor-league rehab games, but the 24-year-old remains without a clear timeline to return from the 10-day injured list, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "But he's going to play this week, and we're going to see how he's doing," Baldelli said.

Advice: Lewis went 3-for-9 with a double, two runs and a stolen base over his two rehab games this weekend. The stolen base in particular was an encouraging sign that he's no longer slowed by his right quad strain, though the Twins have told him to play it safe and not attempt any more stolen bases during his rehab assignment. The Twins have been guarded about when Lewis may return, but given the team's need for offense, he may not need more than a week in the minors. Lewis may be limited to designated-hitter duties initially when he returns to limit the wear on his legs. Rotowire.com May 26, 9:34 pm

    • Goes deep again
Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Angels.

Advice: Ramirez is 12-for-33 (.364) with six homers and 14 RBI over his last eight games. He's also leading the majors with 51 RBI thanks to his recent surge. The third baseman hasn't reached the 30-homer mark in either of the last two seasons, but he's halfway there now with 15 through 51 contests, to go with a hearty .267/.314/.539 slash line, 35 runs scored, seven stolen bases, nine doubles and a triple. • Goes yard in Saturday's loss
Baty went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 7-2 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

Advice: Getting the start at third base and batting eighth, Baty put the Mets ahead 2-1 by taking Sean Hjelle deep in the seventh inning, but Edwin Diaz and the bullpen melted down once again. Baty snapped a 14-game homer drought with the blast, a stretch in which he's stumbled to a .122/.182/.146 slash line with a 42.2 percent strikeout rate while seeing Mark Vientos move past him on the depth chart at third base. While Baty's long ball was encouraging, he also struck out twice more Saturday. Until he solves his contact issues, he'll have a hard time reclaiming the starting job at the hot corner. • Ramirez blasts 15th home run Saturday
Jose Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: Ramirez now has 10 home runs, 26 RBI and only eight strikeouts in his last 19 games. He’s the first player to reach 50 RBI overall this season. Ramirez’s average is up to .267 and the home run was his 15th on the year. After getting off to a slow start, he’s come on strong lately and is on pace for another great season. • Brett Baty goes yard for forth homer against Giants
Brett Baty went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk against the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: Baty had struck out twice leading up to his at-bat in the seventh inning. With the game tied at one run, he put the Mets ahead with a solo blast off Sean Hjelle for his fourth homer of the season. The 24-year-old third baseman is slashing .229/.299/.336 with 15 runs scored and 16 RBI across 155 plate appearances. Rotoworld May 25, 1:57 pm

    • Logs steal in win
Garcia went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 8-1 win over the Rays.

Advice: Garcia's hitting streak is up to 11 games, during which he's gone 17-for-48 (.354) with five steals, six extra-base hits and eight RBI. The third baseman has 13 thefts on the year, and he's yet to be caught stealing. He's added a .266/.313/.425 slash line with five home runs, 32 RBI, 31 runs scored, 12 doubles and three triples over 50 contests as the Royals' near-everyday leadoff hitter.
