    • Back at DH on Monday
Santander (knee) is batting fifth as the designated hitter Monday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Santander aggravated his bruised knee Saturday against the Mariners and was held out of the lineup Sunday, but he's been cleared to bat in the series opener at St. Louis. The 29-year-old said Sunday that running in the outfield has been a bit problematic, so he could continue to serve as Baltimore's DH for the next few days as he completes his recovery. • Racks up three hits
Profar went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, an RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-1 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Profar began his evening with a first inning walk before rounding the bases on a home run from Jake Cronenworth. He later doubled in a run in the fourth and eventually scored again to make it a 7-0 game. Profar remains as locked in as anyone at the plate. He's currently riding a seven-game hit streak during which he's slashing .400/.500/.560 with four RBI, five runs and a 5:4 BB:K. For the year, the 31-year-old is on pace to put up career numbers across the board, hitting .335/.422/.522 with seven homers, 31 RBI, 27 runs and a 24:27 BB:K in 187 plate appearances. • Jurickson Profar collects three hits in win Sunday
Jurickson Profar went 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and a pair of runs scored in a lopsided victory over the Braves on Sunday night.

Advice: Profar started a rally in the opening inning by drawing a two-out walk off of Bryce Elder. He then rode home on Jake Cronenworth’s two-run blast. He then smacked an RBI double in the fourth inning that extended the Padres’ lead to 6-0 and came around to score on a sacrifice fly by Xander Bogaerts. The 31-year-old outfielder has yet to cool off, and after his three-hit attack he’s now hitting .335/.422/.522 with seven homers, 31 RBI and three stolen bases on the season. • Knee remains bothersome
Santander is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners due to soreness and swelling in his left knee, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Advice: The 29-year-old served as Baltimore's designated hitter the past two days after he suffered a bruised knee Wednesday, and he aggravated the injury while running the bases. Santander said running in the outfield remains a bit of an issue, so he could be limited to DH duties for a few days as he gets back to full strength. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:29 am

    • Anthony Santander resting Sunday vs. Mariners
Anthony Santander is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Mariners.

Advice: Santander did have a knee injury last week, but this appears to just be a day of rest for the outfielder. Austin Hays is starting against right-hander George Kirby and hitting sixth. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:50 am

    • Out of lineup Sunday
Santander is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Seattle, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Santander started the last two games at designated hitter coming off the knee injury suffered Wednesday. The veteran outfielder will get a break Sunday as Baltimore rounds out its series with the Mariners, and it appears to just be a maintenance day since there's been no reports that he aggravated the injury. • Third straight game with homer
Ward went 2-for-6 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-2 extra-innings loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Ward was the only Angel with multiple hits in the 13-inning marathon. He's logged three straight multi-hit games, swatting a homer in each of them to reach 10 long balls on the year. The outfielder is slashing .275/.320/.494 with 28 RBI, 27 runs scored, nine doubles and two stolen bases over 45 contests. Ward continues to hold down a near-everyday role in left field as one of the more productive players on the Angels' roster. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:05 pm

    • Goes deep again Friday
Ward went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 9-3 win against Texas.

Advice: Ward padded what was already a large Angels lead with a solo shot in the sixth inning. It was his second homer in his past two contests and gave him an RBI in three straight games. Ward has gone deep nine times through 188 plate appearances this year, putting him on pace so surpass his career-best mark of 23 long balls set two seasons ago. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:27 am

Jacob Young is on the bench for the Nationals against the Phillies on Friday.

Advice: Young was in the leadoff spot when the Nationals last played on Wednesday. He’s hitting .262 with no home runs this year, but he also has 14 stolen bases in 34 games. Rotoworld Friday, 12:36 pm
