• Brandon Marsh diagnosed with hamstring strain
The Phillies announced that Brandon Marsh was pulled from Sunday’s game against the Cardinals due to a right hamstring strain.

Advice: The 26-year-old outfielder suffered the injury while running the bases in the eighth inning on Sunday. He’ll head for further evaluation to determine the severity of the strain. • Brandon Marsh leaves game Sunday with leg injury
Brandon Marsh was removed from Sunday night’s battle against the Cardinals in the eighth inning due to an apparent leg injury.

Advice: Marsh rounded second base and wanted to turn on the jets to go to third, but pulled up lame and had to hobble back into second base. It’s unclear if it was a hamstring or some sort of knee issue, though he was able to walk off the field under his own power. He’ll head for further evaluation. Cristian Pache came in to replace him and would be in line for increased action if Marsh is forced to miss any time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:42 pm

  • Tallies three hits
Perez went 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored Sunday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Perez matched a season high with three hits, plating a run with his seventh-inning double, later scoring the go-ahead run in the 10th. He had entered the game in a 3-for-28 skid over his last seven starts prior to his outburst Sunday. The 24-year-old rookie outfielder has now accumulated 14 extra-base hits including six doubles, five triples and three homers while driving in 15, scoring 22 and swiping four bags over 152 plate appearances. • Not ready for rehab assignment
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Sunday that Thomas (hamstring) isn't on track to begin a minor-league rehab assignment during the upcoming week, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Though Lovullo noted that Thomas is trending in a right direction in his recovery from a left hamstring strain, the center fielder isn't yet at a point in his rehab regimen where he's ready for game action. Thomas has been on the 10-day injured list since April 1 with the hamstring issue, so he'll likely need to play in at least a handful of rehab games at some point down the road before Arizona activates him. He doesn't look like he'll be a realistic option for the Diamondbacks outfield until the second half of June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:57 pm

  • Dominic Fletcher suffers shoulder injury Sunday
Dominic Fletcher was removed from Sunday’s game against the Brewers after banging his shoulder into the left field wall to steal a three-run homer from William Contreras.

Advice: Fletcher told the coaching staff that he’d have trouble throwing the ball, which is why the decision was made to pull him. White Sox’ skipper Pedro Grifol told reporters after the game that Fletcher will be re-evaluated on Monday. For now, he should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:43 pm
