    • Hits monster homer
Stanton went 2-for-5 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Twins.

Advice: Stanton launched a 427-foot homer in the third inning off Chris Paddack for his ninth long ball of 2024. The 34-year-old still owns a huge 34 percent strikeout rate, but he owns a .236 batting average and is slugging .471 -- both would be his best tallies since 2021. Stanton has hit safely in eight of his last nine games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:25 pm
    • Collects win Tuesday
Hader (2-3) allowed a walk and struck out three over two scoreless and hitless innings to earn the extra-inning win over the Athletics on Tuesday.

Advice: After starter Ronel Blanco was ejected for the alleged use of a foreign substance, this became a bit of a bullpen game for the Astros as they looked to protect a 1-0 lead. Ryan Pressly couldn't maintain the lead in the eighth inning, but Hader pitched well in the ninth and 10th, and he got the win after Victor Caratini delivered a walk-off hit as a pinch hitter. Hader's active 4.1-inning scoreless streak is his longest of the season. He's now at a 4.74 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 30:9 K:BB with five saves in six chances over 19 innings this season. • Stanton hits ninth homer of year vs. Twins
Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-5 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Stanton hit his ninth homer of the season in the third inning when he took Chris Paddack deep for a solo blast, giving the Yankees a 3-1 lead. A true feast-or-famine player at this stage of his career, Stanton is still good for the occasional homer and has plenty of opportunities to drive in runs batting in the middle of a potent lineup, but shouldn’t be viewed as anything more than a desperation play as far as fantasy is concerned. • Complete game vs. Mets
Nola (5-2) earned the win, allowing just four hits over nine shutout innings Tuesday against the Mets. He struck out eight.

Advice: Nola was dominant Tuesday, holding the Mets without a baserunner until the sixth inning en route to the fourth complete-game shutout of his career. It's certainly an encouraging outing for Nola, after he'd posted a subpar 5.59 ERA over his previous two starts (9.2 innings). The 30-year-old right-hander lowered his ERA to 3.10 on the season with a 1.09 WHIP and 55:15 K:BB through nine outings (58 innings). Nola's currently in line to make a second start this week Sunday at home versus the Nationals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:44 pm

    • Gerrit Cole (elbow) throws another bullpen session
Gerrit Cole (elbow) threw a 36-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday.

Advice: It’s a bit unclear when exactly Cole will progress to facing hitters in a live batting practice session, but he’s made it through four bullpen sessions without any setbacks. He’s expected to return to New York’s starting rotation at some point in mid-June. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:41 pm

    • DJ LeMahieu (foot) set for rehab assignment
DJ LeMahieu (foot) will start a minor league rehab assignment later this week with Double-A Somerset.

Advice: LeMahieu has been on the shelf all season due to a fracture in his right foot and a couple setbacks. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:03 pm

    • Will return to lineup Wednesday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Tuesday that Harper (migraine) will return to the lineup Wednesday against the Mets, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Harper was a late scratch from Tuesday's lineup after he developed a migraine, but his symptoms abated as the game versus the Mets went along and would have been available in a pinch-hitting capacity. He was not used off the bench, as it turned out, but he will be ready to roll for Wednesday's tilt. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:36 pm

    • Thomson: Bryce Harper to return Wednesday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Bryce Harper (migraine) is feeling better and will return on Wednesday.

Advice: Thomson added that Harper’s migraine cleared up during Tuesday afternoon’s contest against the Mets to the point that he was available to pinch-hit. The 31-year-old fantasy superstar should return to Philadelphia’s lineup on Wednesday, barring something unexpected. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:30 pm

    • Aaron Nola hurls fourth career shutout versus Mets
Aaron Nola pitched his fourth career shutout Tuesday with a four-hitter in the Phillies’ 4-0 win over the Mets.

Advice: Nola struck out eight and walked none in the 109-pitch outing. The shutout was nearly lost in the ninth, when Jeff McNeil doubled with one out and Starling Marte singled with two. Under other circumstances, McNeil might have tried to score on the hit to left, though it made no sense in the four-run game today. Nola’s shutout is the fifth by an MLB pitcher this year. Teammate Ranger Suárez had one of the others. Nola is now 5-2 with a 3.10 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:13 pm
