• Kyle Tucker homers and walks against Twins
Kyle Tucker homered and walked in a victory for the Astros over the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Tucker also drew a walk. The 27-year-old is already up to 19 homers on the season with a .976 OPS to pair with them. Even with the Astros having a disappointing 2024 campaign, Tucker has been as good as he’s ever been over the first two-plus months of the campaign. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:03 pm

  • Yordan Alvarez homers twice as Astros top Twins
Yordan Alvarez went 3-for-3 with two homers and three RBI in a 5-2 win Saturday over the Twins for the Astros.

Advice: Alvarez also drew a walk. The 26-year-old slugger took Joe Ryan deep with a runner on in the first, and did more damage against Ryan with a solo shot in the fifth. That ups Alvarez’s total to 11 roundtrippers on the year, and he’s plated 25 over the first 59 games of the season for the Astros. Alvarez has been as good as any hitter in baseball the last few years, and it’s the only reason why those numbers and a .283/.357/.480 slash seem slightly disappointing. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:03 pm
  • Rooker blasts 12 home run against Braves Saturday
Brent Rooker went 2-for-5 with a run scored, a double, a home run and four RBI against the Braves on Saturday.

Advice: The home run was Rooker’s 12th of the season and he’s now up to 39 RBI. His 166 wRC+ is among the top 10 hitters in all of baseball this year. Rooker is one of the few Athletics that carries fantasy value and he’s showing that last year’s 30 home run season wasn’t a fluke. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:42 pm
  • Has hand swelling
Young is day-to-day with swelling in his throwing hand, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports Saturday.

Advice: The swelling occurred during early portions of Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Guardians and Young opted to report it to a team trainer during a pitching change in the sixth inning, resulting in his removal from the game. His status for Sunday's game remains up in the air and won't be known until closer to first pitch. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:34 pm

  • Exits with trainer
Young was removed from Saturday's game against the Guardians with an undisclosed injury, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Advice: A trainer tended to Young while the Nationals made a pitching change in the bottom of the sixth inning before walking Young off the field. Eddie Rosario will fill center field while Joey Gallo enters the game in left. It's unclear exactly what type of injury Young is dealing with, but we should learn more later Saturday. • Re-enters lineup
McCarthy is starting in left field and batting eighth Saturday against the Mets.

Advice: McCarthy was originally scheduled to have the day off versus left-hander Sean Manaea, but he will now be called upon to fill in for Lourdes Gurriel (undisclosed), who was a late scratch. McCarthy has found success this year in a small sample size versus left-handed pitchers, slashing .429/.500/.476 across 24 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:49 am
  • Sitting versus lefty
McCarthy isn't in the Diamondbacks' lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.

Advice: With left-hander Sean Manaea starting on the hill for New York, the lefty-hitting McCarthy will step out of the lineup Saturday. Randal Grichuk will fill the opening in right field and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:36 am
  • Nabs steal in return
Raley (lat) went 1-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Friday's 5-4 win over the Angels.

Advice: Raley missed a game due to lat soreness, but it appears to be a minor issue. Prior to Friday, Raley went 1-for-19 over his previous seven contests while racking up 10 strikeouts in that span. He's been decent in 2024 with a .260/.297/.397 slash line, four home runs, five stolen bases, 12 RBI and 16 runs scored over 138 plate appearances. Raley is likely to continue working in a strong-side platoon role in left field. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:56 pm

  • First to 20 homers in 2024
Judge went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 6-2 win over the Giants.

Advice: Judge ended May with a bang, earning his first multi-homer game of the year while reaching the 20-homer mark. He did a ton of damage to opposing pitchers this month, going 36-for-97 (.371) with 14 long balls, 12 doubles and 27 RBI over 28 contests. The slugger is up to a fantastic .282/.408/.648 slash line with 45 RBI, 40 runs scored and two stolen bases over 59 contests in 2024. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:41 pm
